WEIMA launches Destroy Responsibly program in the Recycling Zone at NPE2024

At NPE2024, WEIMA will present its cutting-edge shredders and granulators, offering attendees an immersive experience. Among the equipment featured will be the WEIMA WLK 15 single-shaft shredder and two LM 600/1000 granulators. These machines will operate as part of WEIMA’s Destroy Responsibly™ program, an initiative aimed at making trade shows more environmentally friendly by repurposing demonstration scrap instead of sending it to landfills.

Located outside the main hall, the shredder and granulators will be shredding plastic scrap in real-time within the Recycling Zone behind West Hall. The material processed by WEIMA's equipment will then be transported off-site and reintroduced into plastic production processes by Commercial Plastics Recycling Inc. The overarching goal of this program is ambitious yet straightforward: to recycle 100 percent of the plastic scrap generated on the show floor in 2024.
