WasteCap, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing waste reduction and recycling assistance to businesses, has announced the schedule of training meetings for the first half of next year.
The day-long programs will be taught by WasteCap Resource Solutions. The training sessions provide attendees with the skills to develop, manage, monitor, document and promote successful recycling program for construction and demolition debris.
Participants receive three-year Accreditation in Construction Waste Recycling and training to obtain LEED construction waste management points.
The objectives for the training courses are the following:
- Develop reuse and recycling programs on construction or demolition sites
- Prepare a construction waste management plan
- Document reuse and recycling results
- Educate crews and monitor programs for best compliance and efficiency
- By taking the course, attendees receive the following:
- Accreditation in construction waste recycling, which can be used in marketing efforts.
- A construction and demolition waste management toolkit, including market information, educational material, monitoring checklists, worksheets for conducing economic analyses, etc.
- Everything needed to meet criteria for leadership in energy and environmental design’s materials and resources credits.
- For LEED accredited professionals the course is eligible for Continuing Education Credits.
