TES, a Singapore-based provider of information technology life cycle services, has opened a new 127,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Cannock Chase, a municipality in West Midlands county in the United Kingdom.
According to a news release from TES, the new location is a hub for the company’s service portfolio, including managed deployment services, information technology asset disposition (ITAD) and information and communications technology refurbishment and parts harvesting. The company says it will employ 100 people at the facility.
“I was delighted to visit the new TES site and welcome them to Cannock Chase,” says Amanda Milling, a member of parliament for Cannock Chase. “It is a vote of confidence in our local area when businesses relocate to Cannock Chase, and it is clearly recognized as a great place to do business.”
According to TES, facilities such as its new U.K. headquarters are “pivotal in strategically managing the IT infrastructure of businesses in a way that is both financially and environmentally sustainable.” The new headquarters will allow TES’ U.K. operation to continue investing in refurbishment capabilities.
“It’s exciting times for TES,” says Darren Hunt, general manager of TES UK. “Combining the move t our new facility and the bringing together of all of our portfolio services serves as a timely reminder as to how far we’ve come in such a relatively short space of time. TES, as an organization, is collectively reimagining the technology life cycle and, in doing so, tackling the growing issue that is e-waste.”
