Len Fritz of Fritz Enterprises Inc., Trenton, Mich., says he doesn’t need to recommend Riverside Products. "They recommend themselves," Fritz says of Riverside, adding that the company’s solid product line and commitment to backing that line up with quality service speak well enough for themselves.
Fritz Enterprises currently has two Riverside rotors at work at its ferrous and nonferrous scrap yard—one already in a 74-104 Hammer shredder and another recently purchased for an 80-104 Newell shredder. The rotors are the latest in a longer line of purchases from Riverside Products, says purchasing agent Kreg Kelly. "It’s the third or fourth one we’ve purchased in a row for the one shredder," says Kelly. "They make a good product."
However, even more impressive to the team at Fritz than the quality of the rotors themselves is Riverside’s commitment to customer service beyond the point of purchase. "Part of the deal is Riverside makes an excellent product, and we’re very happy with that," says Kelly. "Most importantly, they stand behind their product."
At Fritz, the service the company receives from Riverside goes beyond simple maintenance. Kelly says he can rely on Riverside Products General Manager Kevin Toft and the rest of the Riverside representatives to help come up with solutions to any shredding problem that comes his way. "We have a good working relationship with them," Kelly says. "We can run ideas by them. I’ve been able to pick up the phone and ask if they’ve ever seen this problem before."
That level of follow-through puts Riverside Products a step ahead as a service provider, as well as an equipment manufacturer, Kelly says.
Fritz echoes Kelly’s high praise of the Riverside team: "They stand behind their product," he says. "I’ve got nothing but good things to say about them."
