DHS Worldwide Releases Total Recall 7.0
Orange Park, Fla.-based DHS Worldwide, a provider of records management software solutions, has announced the release of Total Recall Records Management Software version 7.0. The latest version of Total Recall software provides records management professionals with new tools designed to boost productivity in physical and electronic records management, document destruction, data protection and digital imaging, DHS says.
According to the company, this release features 75 major updates, including an enhanced intuitive color-coded dispatching calendar. In addition to the traditional month view, the new week view allows a dispatcher to move scheduled jobs to different routes with the click and drag of the mouse, the company says.
Total Recall 7.0 also features additional e-reporting capabilities, which provide on-site or plant-based shredding operators the ability to email customers serviced on a given day an e-destruction certificate that includes the client’s digital signature. The digital imaging enhancements include a new “export all” function for client’s electronic document repositories, DHS says.
“As the RIM (records and information management) industry continues to transform, our continual commitment to innovation and software advancements has consistently provided our customers with a competitive edge,” says Steve Hyman, president of DHS Worldwide.
In other news, DHS says it has expanded its programming and customer support departments. The company says 80 percent of its customer support team has been with DHS Worldwide for more than 10 years.

EZshred Software Adds Medical Waste Module
EZshred, Chesterland, Ohio, has introduced a new medical waste module for document destruction companies that want to diversify into the medical waste transportation sector.
Users can scan their current medical waste contracts into the EZshred system. In addition to alerting the user’s sales force of expiring contracts, EZshred creates the manifests, tracks the user’s medical waste inventory and scans signed manifests, facilitating compliance with local, state and federal regulations, the company says.
Ron Ray of EZshred says the new module is in response to the interest in the field of medical waste transportation that the company saw at the 2013 conference of the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID).
