Jack Welch once said that “globalization has changed us into a company that searches the world, not just to sell or to source but to find intellectual capital—the world's best talents and greatest ideas.”
While I would be among the first to admit it would be naive to compare PRISM International with GE, I also admit to finding reassurance in the similarities to our approaches.
One only need to look at our conference schedule to realize that PRISM has been not only finding intellectual capital throughout the world but also leveraging it to the benefit of our members worldwide.
The PRISM Data Protection Conference in Dallas generated enthusiastic, thoughtful discussion and rave reviews. We will hold this event in Chicago in 2014.
The PRISM Latin American Forum was held in Cancun, Mexico, and featured sessions on business valuation, cloud computing and a review of industry statistics. This conference was a good example of what makes PRISM great—the best RIM (records and information management) professionals in Central and South America met to discuss new issues, best practices and trends and emerged refreshed, renewed and prepared to build their businesses to new heights.
As I write this, I am about to join the 2013 European Information Management Conference. This conference, which is co-produced by PRISM and NAID – Europe, will offer RIM and destruction professionals an outstanding educational program led by some of the world’s best minds. While the presentations no doubt will be top notch, I expect that some of the most important learning, as always, will occur in the roundtable and hallway discussions among the leaders of the best companies in Europe.
PRISM has lined up its Asia Pacific Conference for Feb. 17-19, 2014, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The three-day conference will feature sessions on operational and financial benchmarking, emerging trends, resilience, dealing with natural disasters and more. The last time the conference was in Kuala Lumpur, we had record attendance, and I expect the same in 2014.
Finally, our conference season concludes with the biggest of them all: the 2014 PRISM International Annual Conference in Palm Springs, Calif. The conference will feature an outstanding educational program and numerous opportunities to network with the best minds in the RIM industry.
No doubt you agree that PRISM has a lot of events. Our commitment to serve our members and the industry—throughout the world—requires nothing less.
