ARMA Live! hits the road

Sometimes, there’s no substitute for a room full of colleagues and a facilitator who’s ready to address your questions in real time. Because we understand the value of live education, ARMA International is rolling out the ARMA Live! 2014 Roadshows.

Commercial records centers will specifically be interested in the Foundations of Information Management roadshow as a selling point to possible customers. This event, held March 12-13 in Chattanooga, Tenn., is confirmation to outward-facing audiences that you know the basics of records management and, therefore, better understand the challenges customers are facing.

In addition, commercial records centers could boast about earning the Principles Certificate at the Feb. 13 event in Austin, Texas. It is more advanced and focuses on information governance rather than on the more day-to-day RIM (records and information management) tasks and policies. Its value for commercial records centers is that it spells out the many issues involved with storing records in a legally defensible manner.

Check the schedule that follows to find where we’ll be in 2014 and the topics we’ll be covering. Register soon, as spaces are limited. The 2014 ARMA Live! Roadshow schedule is:

  • Austin, Texas, Feb. 13, The Essentials of the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles Certificate;
  • Chattanooga, Tenn., March 12-13, Foundations of Information Management Certificate;
  • Houston, Texas, April 22-23, Becoming a Certified Information Governance Professional (IGP);
  • Madison, Wis., May 6-7, Foundations of Information Management Certificate; and
  • St. Louis, May 29, Becoming a Certified Information Governance Professional (IGP).
