SCREEN MACHINE SCALPER
Ohio Central Steel Co. has introduced the Screen Machine Scalper, a dual screen processing plant. The machine features twin seven-inch long integrated vibratory double deck screens with independent screen drivers. The Scalper has a 60-inch wide folding fines belt with an adjustable conveyer discharge height up to 15 feet. The product uses CEMAD 6-inch diameter idlers with ¼-inch walls and a dual motor drive. The Scalper uses grade 80 wear plate metal and is powered by an 80-horsepower John Deere Diesel engine.
NORDBERG LT105 CRUSHING UNIT
The LT105 track-mounted crushing unit by Nordberg was developed for contractors and aggregate makers who require high capacity and ease of operation. The LT105 is built around the C-Series jaw crusher design, a 42-inch wide C105 jaw crusher that offers outputs up to 450 short tons per hour and has jaw settings of one to eight inches. Among the materials the machine can handle are concrete, asphalt, bricks and gravel. The LT105, weighing about 80,000 pounds, can also be transported easily.
The crushing unit includes a 285 horsepower Caterpillar diesel driven engine, a 46-inch wide vibrating feeder, an eight cubic yard capacity feed hopper, a bypass chute and a main discharge conveyor. Available options include hydraulic setting control, automatic lubrication and material level control, a magnetic separator and side discharge conveyor and a water spray system.
CATERPILLAR ARTICULATED TRUCKS
The Caterpillar Inc. D350E II and D400E II articulated trucks feature amenities such as improved drive-trains, oil-immersed disc brakes, redesigned suspensions and upgraded operator compartments. The Series II trucks replace the previous models, the D350E and D400E.
The D350E Series II is rated at a 35-ton payload and features a 355 horsepower engine. The D400 Series II has a 40-ton payload and a 405 horsepower engine. The trucks are being marketed toward the construction, demolition, road building, sand and gravel hauling, and landfill industries, among others.
New features to the trucks include an electronically controlled Cat engine, a seven-speed automatic powershift transmission in the D400E II, and a cross-axle differential lock that provides 100% lock-up for traction.
PORTA-KING MOBILE STATIONS
Porta-King Building Systems is offering a 6-feet by 12-feet mobile control station unit featuring two electrically operated barrier gates. An onboard diesel generator supplies electric power to the unit. Tinted glass provides 360-degree visibility and internal temperature control when combined with R-10 thermal insulation. The unit can be used as an on-site operations center at construction, demolition and other work sites.
PROTECTOSEAL SAFETY CABINETS
The Protectoseal Company has introduced a new line of safety cabinets made of 18-gauge steel and complying with NFPA and OSHA standards. The cabinets, designed for the storage of flammable or hazardous materials, have a leak-proof two-inch bottom well. Yellow flammable liquid cabinets hold up to two 55-gallon drums while blue acid-resistant cabinets hold containers from 15 to 60 gallons. Red cabinets for class III combustible liquids hold 40 to 60-gallon containers of paints and inks.
FLEXCO CONVEYOR BELT CLEANER
Flexco has introduced a new conveyor belt cleaner, the Eliminator. The product features a patent-pending I-Power tensioner design that keeps blades perpendicular to the belt. Intended as a secondary cleaner, the Eliminator features a compact design needing less than eight inches of vertical clearance. The Eliminator and its tungsten-carbide tips are installed behind the head pulley, which allows removed materials to drop at the transfer point, keeping more material in the product stream.
CATERPILLAR MATERIAL HANDLERS
Caterpillar Inc. is now offering the 325B MH and 330B MH material handlers, designed for moving scrap, demolition debris and loose materials. The two machines, with added horsepower, replace the 325 MH and the 330 MH. Both models have a six-and-a-half foot riser that can be tilted forward for shipping. The 325B has a maximum horizontal reach of almost 44 feet while the 330B extends about 47 feet. Counterweights on both models are heavier than standard to balance the machine while handling increased loads at extended reaches. Both models have six-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engines.
DIALOG ELITE ALARM SYSTEM
Antx Inc. has introduced the DiaLog Elite, an automatic alarm notification system. "In Elite, we have created the industry’s first completely field upgradeable alarm dialer," says Stephen Allen, president of Antx. "All options can be either installed by a user, like adding more analog or digital inputs, or turned on with a phone call." DiaLog Elite can monitor up to 48 analog and or digital inputs providing alarm notification to phones, cell phones, pagers and personal computers.
NORDBERG SCREEN-ALL MODELS
The Nordberg CV150 Screen-All can handle a variety of materials and has a convertible shakerhead that can accommodate woven screen cloth, punch plate, harp screens or finger decks. To try to reduce maintenance costs, the unit has Grade 80 tensile strength steel in high impact areas.
The Nordberg CV40 Screen-All uses either woven screen cloths, punch plates, hard screens or finger decks. The CV40 also features a convertible shakerhead, which contributes to the screen’s versatility.
KOLBERG-PIONEER IMPACT CRUSHERS
Two additional models to Kolberg-Pioneer Inc.’s existing line of Vertical Shaft Impact crushing plants now are available—the 1500 Ultra-Spec and 4500 Ultra-Spec. These crushers permits producers to operate the same crusher in Standard, Semi-Autogenuos or Fully-Autogenous configurations and a new flow-through rotor design allows for higher capacity with less horsepower. Material throughput for the 1500, 2500 and 4500 models are up to 150 TPH, 275 TPH and 450 TPH, producing a cubical product at an economical cost-per-ton.
U.S. MANUFACTURING PLUS HAMMERS
Production Plus Hammers are designed to prolong the life of replacement tips by 50 percent. Issued by U.S. Manufacturing, a producer of tub grinder and horizontal feed wear parts, these "innovative" hammers recently were patented.
BANDIT MEGABYTE STUMP AND LOG SHEAR
Bandit Industries introduces the Megabyte stump and log shear, an excavator attachment designed to break down stumps and logs into manageable pieces for efficient waste reduction equipment processing. Also acting as a stump puller that splits stumps while still in the ground, the Megabyte eliminates the need for digging around stumps for removal. Full splitting and cutting power is present through all phases of the cut with an special-designed pivoting shear.
