1. Danieli Henschel Power-S system. Danieli Henschel of Germany has introduced the patented Power-S system for the company’s heavy-duty CIB shear range. The system offers:
- cutting strengths ranging from 725 to 1,450 tonnes
- a lateral precompression box with articulated lid and lateral reducer
- densifies mixed metal scrap
- high-capacity hydraulic jacks enable parallel or variable angle movement

2. Genesis GSG scrap grapple. Genesis Attachments, based in the United States in Superior, Wisconsin, has announced that its GSG scrap grapples are now available in 10 sizes. The grapples offer these features, the company says:
- capacity ranges from 0.5 cubic yards to 2.5 cubic yards
- suitable for material handlers from 20 to 80 tonnes
- identical hardened steel bearings with dust seals at all pivot points
- a heavy-duty cylinder guarding system that protects cylinders and internal components and removes easily for maintenance
- large-bore hydraulic cylinders to maximize clamping force
- long-life, abrasion-resistant steel tips that are easily replaced

3. Steinert Fines ISS with Argos C technology. New from Steinert, based in Cologne, Germany, is the Fines ISS (induction sorting system) with Argos C technology, which combines two technologies to separates metal fines. Features include:
- designed to extract metals smaller than 9.5 millimetres
- the Argos C inductive sensor, which may recover metal pieces as small as 1 millimeter
- a fully digital sensor that provides conductive imaging to enhance the separation accuracy by giving more detailed information on each detected particle
- a bullet-type integrated valve bar to provide accurate firing to minimize compressed air consumption and increase product purity
- available in working widths of 101 and 203 centimetres

4. Tegro dense media separator. The Tegro Group, based in Hong Kong, has launched a dense media separator (DMS) offering these features:
- customisable and flexible turnkey design
- offers precise split cut of light and heavy metals
- low magnetite consumption and operating costs
- treats a wide range of infeed materials and a broad range of particle sizes
- specialised water treatment technology
- throughput ranges from 5 to 20 tonnes per hour
- can be used for copper recovery or platinum group concentrates
