CP Group Makes Personnel Changes
The CP Group, a National City, Calif.-based group of manufacturing companies supplying the recycling, scrap and waste industries, has made several personnel appointments:
- John Willis, senior vice president;
- Hans Ouellet, vice president of sales and marketing;
- Felix Hottenstein, assistant to the vice president of sales and marketing;
- Gary Price, vice president of project management;
- Greg Thibado, vice president of technology;
- John Kemp, director of field services;
- Jim McCann, assistant general manager as well as head of CP's procurement division; and
- Kevin Sullivan, manager of project management.
IPS Balers, a division of the CP Group based in Baxley, Ga., has announced the following personnel appointments:
- Forrest Wildes, general manager;
- Sidney Wildes Sr., sales manager; and
- Leland Sanders, operations manager.
Magnet Applications Hires GM
Magnet Applications, a subsidiary of Bunting Magnetics Co., Newton, Kan., has added Pete Lipetzky as the new general manager for its DuBois, Pa., facility. Lipetzky will oversee the total manufacturing and sales operations for the DuBois plant and will report to Robert J. Bunting, the owner and CEO of Bunting.
"Pete brings an incredible mix of technical expertise and operational experience to this role," Bunting says. "That is critical at Magnet Applications because of the complex designs that we get involved in with our customers. The highly technical magnets we create using our compression bonding and injection moulding capabilities demand knowledge and precision. Pete will bring that mindset to this role."
Lipetzky holds a doctorate in materials science and engineering/applied physics from Brown University and Master of Science degrees in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics, also from Brown University. He graduated summa cum laude from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Katz Business Program at the University of Pittsburgh.
Acme Refining Adds to Staff
Acme Refining Co., Chicago, has named Les Bury president of the Acme Electronics Recycling division. Bury will be responsible for all electronics recycling operations, including the newly acquired CTRER, an Ohio corporation that has provided disposition of end-of-life electronics for more than 25 years.
Acme Refining decribes Bury as having "extensive experience and a highly successful track record within the electronics, logistics and recycling industries."
Acme Refining chief financial officer Roger Gusloff says, "Les Bury's background in business development, logistics, operations, certifications and sales, along with more than 30 years of experience in the electronics industry, is a perfect fit for Acme Electronics Recycling and all of our business units."
Acme Electronics Recycling, a new business unit, provides services including the destruction of electronic products and equipment, sales of salvaged equipment, harvesting of components and the creation of secondary commodities.
The new business unit is ISO 14001 certified and will provide logistics, de-manufacturing and shredding services for all types of electronics, telecommunications equipment, medical equipment and other obsolete electronic items.
Acme Refining bills itself as the largest privately owned scrap metal company in the Midwest.
