Ohio Magnetics Announces Promotions
Dublin, Ohio-based HBD Industries Inc., an industrial products supplier, has announced management changes at its affiliate Ohio Magnetics Inc. The Maple Heights, Ohio-based company makes lifting magnets and magnetic separation equipment.
John Wohlgemuth, general manager of Ohio Magnetics, has retired after nearly 30 years with the company.
“Under John’s leadership, Ohio Magnetics became an industry leader in developing and manufacturing quality lifting magnets, lifting magnet systems and magnetic separation equipment,” says Randy Greely, chairman and CEO of HBD Industries. “We wish John the best in his retirement.”
Replacing Wohlgemuth as general manager of Ohio Magnetics is former Sales Manager Ken Richendollar. The company also has promoted Walter Civovic to the position of sales manager.
“Ken and Walt have extensive knowledge of magnetic lifting systems and separation equipment and a track record of providing exceptional service to our valued customers around the world,” Greely says.
Richendollar started with Ohio Magnetics as a quality assurance supervisor in 1983, while Civovic began with the company in the production department in 1985.

Femco Machine Adds Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Femco Machine Co., Punxsutawney, Pa., has added Scott Walker as vice president of sales and marketing.
The company manufactures a diverse range of aftermarket and OEM parts for equipment used in a variety of industries, including recycling, industrial manufacturing, oil and gas and construction and mining.
Femco also provides emergency repair services to its customers in these industries via a nationwide fleet of fully equipped field service trucks. Femco’s footprint includes four service and manufacturing locations in addition to the corporate headquarters in Pa.
Most recently Walker was director of sales and business development for Oberg Industries, Freeport, Pa., a manufacturer of precision components and tooling, where he worked for 26 years.
Walker says his plan is to continue to expand Femco’s reach. “My task is to grow our presence in the strategic markets we serve and increase our penetration,” he says. “We’re looking for significant growth in the next few years. This will require that we add talented and skilled personnel to the team to be able to achieve that goal.”
Novelis Announces Executive Leadership Appointments
The aluminum rolling and recycling firm Novelis, based in Atlanta, has announced a number of senior executive moves designed to further accelerate its “One Novelis” global integration strategy.
Company executives Marco Palmieri, Tadeu Nardocci and Erwin Mayr have been appointed regional presidents for North America, South America and Europe, respectively, and Brad Soultz has been named head of global strategy and commercial activities.
The company says the changes are designed to strengthen its business in fast-growing regions of the world.
Palmieri, who joined the company in 2011, has been named senior vice president and president, Novelis North America, effective June 1. Palmieri is responsible for all aspects of the company’s largest region. He previously served as senior vice president and president, Novelis South America.
Nardocci has been named senior vice president and president, Novelis South America. Nardocci will lead all aspects of the company’s business in South America, including the ongoing expansion of aluminum rolling and recycling operations at Novelis’ plant in Pindamonhangaba, Brazil. He was most recently senior vice president and president, Novelis Europe, where he led the revitalization of the company’s business in the region.
Novelis has named Mayr senior vice president and president, Novelis Europe, effective immediately. As head of Novelis’ second-largest region, he is responsible for all aspects of the company's European business, including sales, operations and strategy implementation. He was previously senior vice president, chief strategy and commercial officer.
Soultz succeeds Mayr as vice president, chief strategy and commercial officer, effective immediately. He is responsible for developing Novelis’ global strategy and for leading the global commercial organizations. Since joining Novelis in 2005, he has held a number of leadership positions, most recently serving as vice president, global supply chain. He has also served as vice president, Global Specialty Products; vice president and general manager of Novelis’ Automotive and Specialty Products businesses in North America; and vice president and general manager for Light-Gauge Products in North America.
