1. Liebherr Material Handler Training Simulator. Liebherr Construction Equipment Co., Newport News, Va., has introduced a material handler training simulator. The company partnered with Simlog, based in Montreal, to develop the simulator. Features include:
- Depicts the operation of a Liebherr wheeled handler in a realistic environment performing scrap handling activities
- Provides multiple operating scenarios and measures the performance of the trainee during his/her training session
- Available in a basic version utilizing a tabletop steering wheel, foot pedals and Liebherr-type joysticks; the advanced version adds an operator seat and industrial steering wheel

2. Metso Eta Cut II. Metso, Helsinki, Finland, has replaced its first-generation Eta Cut with the Eta Cut II scrap shear, which adds a number of innovations:
- Redesigned hydraulic concept designed for higher energy efficiency and productivity per installed kilowatt
- Improved rigidity of components for a longer service life
- New HMI (human machine interface) allows for integration of future online service applications and data collection
- User-friendly and intuitive touch screen
- New control cabin with angled glass fronts and ergonomic operator chair with integrated control elements

3. Dana GWB 492.90 Driveshaft. The GWB 492.90 driveshaft from Dana Holding Corp., based in Maumee, Ohio, features an improved design for shredder applications, according to the company. Product features include:
- Up to 1,300,000 Newton meters of torque capacity and reversing fatigue torque rating up to 600,000 Newton meters
- Flange diameter of 550 millimeters (21.65 inches)
- Split-bearing eyes with a toothed bearing cap
- Standard Hirth-serrated flange

4. Stanley LaBounty MDP30R Mobile Demolition Processor. Stanley Hydraulic Tools, Two Harbors, Minn., has released the new MDP30R mobile demolition processor (MDP) with expanded machine applications. Product features include:
- Incorporates all standard MDP features, including quick-change jaw pivot, 360-degree powered rotation, reversed cylinder and multiple machine mount capability
- Single cylinder attachment with crushing force of 160 tons
- Apex angled blade design and interchangeable jaws
- Swift lock concrete cutting edges and protected cylinder rod
