Liebherr Construction Equipment Co. adds new dealer in Alaska
Delta Industrial Services Inc., Delta Junction, Alaska, has become a new dealer for the full line of Liebherr earthmoving and material handling equipment, the equipment company reports. The Liebherr Group, a subsidiary of Switzerland’s Liebherr-International AG, is based in Newport News, Virginia.
Founded in 1997, Delta Industrial Services employs 45 professionals, owns 53 acres of property and operates three locations in Fairbanks and Delta Junction.
“The new agreement with Liebherr will allow us to expand our product breath and target markets that we were unable to address before,” says Curtis Dufendach, president of Delta Industrial Services.
Liebherr Regional Business Manager Doug Fletcher will work closely with the Delta locations to help them introduce the Liebherr line to their customer base.
“We look forward to working hand in hand to ensure customers’ expectations are met,” says Peter Mayr, president of Liebherr Construction Equipment Co.
URR brings G-Balers to US
In 2012, Unlimited Recycling Resources (URR), Chino Hills, California, introduced the G-Baler line of single- and two-ram balers to the U.S. market. More than 3,000 installations in 72 nations feature G-Balers, according URR.
The first installation in the U.S., a GB-1111F single ram in 2012 in Northern California, has been a success, the company says. Recently completing its third year in service, the machine has produced more than 2,000 tons per month of recovered fiber and required little in the way of service, URR says. The baler features a platen that rides on ram rollers along replaceable, bolt-in and hardened rails.
URR is the exclusive North American agent for Strautmann of Glandorf, Germany; Godswill of Taiwan; and a range of other premium machinery.
Kobelco introduces multidismantling machine to North America
Kobelco Construction Machinery USA, Houston, is offering its SK210D multidismantling machine to North American scrap recyclers. U.S. contractors first saw the SK210D at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas in March 2014 when Kobelco showcased the machine dismantling an automobile. Kobelco says it has manufactured more than 1,000 of the machines in Japan since 1979.
The company says its SK210D is popular in scrap metal yards, where it can dismantle complex equipment that requires delicate handling, such as automobiles, where environmental laws require that steps be taken to contain oils and other contaminates. The company says the speed and accuracy of dismantling automobiles with the machine is increased tenfold over hand dismantling, contributing to reduced labor costs and a minimized risk of fines. With the SK210D, dismantling can be handled by one machine and one operator, Kobelco says.
The SK210 is the first of Kobelco’s demolition machines available in North America. The SK210D is designed to take apart vehicle bodies, engines and other metal components with precise, safe and efficient operation. Two specialized crushers allow for different dismantling tasks: A multidismantling crusher is suited for small-scale separating and sorting of all types of metal, including electrical fittings and harnesses; and an optional vehicle-dismantling crusher offers a powerful grab, increased cutting force and a rotational torque powerful enough to cut through a chassis and frame, the company says. The Kobelco Innovation clamp arm features a bowl-shaped grip and power cutting teeth with different shapes on both sides to enable efficient bending, breaking and tearing.
Kobelco says its SK210D multidismantling machine offers a powerful and practical solution to nearly any demolition dismantling task with its rugged design, comfortable operator cab and controls and an energy-efficient engine and hydraulic system. Details are available at www.kobelco-usa.com.
