1. Doosan Tier 4-compliant wheel loaders. Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment America, West Fargo, North Dakota, has introduced its first Tier 4-compliant wheel loaders: the DL300-5, DL350-5, DL420-5, DL450-5 and DL550-5 models. They offer these features, according to Doosan:
- net horsepower ranges from 271 in the DL300-5 to 379 in the DL550-5
- improved fuel efficiency, operator comfort, serviceability, reliability and remote monitoring with Doosan Telematics
- Scania diesel engines optimized for use with a high-pressure common-rail fuel delivery system and a cooled exhaust gas recirculation system
- a variable geometry turbocharger for enhanced boost pressure for improved fuel efficiency, higher torque levels and faster engine response

2. Eriez ProSort II Airless Metal Recovery System. Eriez, Erie, Pennsylvania, offers the ProSort II Airless Metal Recovery System, which, according to the company, features:
- uses 75 percent less energy than air-powered metal sorters
- designed to provide better recovery of heavies and lights
- twice as many metal sensors as the original ProSort machine
- high-resolution sensors align with a new inverted paddle mechanism to improve recovery of valuable metals
- modular construction
- widths up to 90 inches

3. S+S WEEESort system. S+S Separation and Sorting Technology GmbH, with U.S. offices in Bartlett, Illinois, has introduced the WEEESort system for electronics recycling. The company says it offers these features:
- can be configured with a combination of sensors, including induction for metals, high resolution CCD (charge-coupled device) camera for shape and color separation and/or a near-infrared (NIR) camera for separation by polymer type
- sensors can be combined and programmed to target circuit boards, wires/cable, metals, plastics or polymer type
- inverse identification of plastic helps reduce overall air consumption
- built-in high-speed accelerator conveyor for even distribution

4. WSM Titan trommel screen. The new Titan trommel screen from West Salem Machinery (WSM), Salem, Oregon, is designed for severe-duty screening applications requiring high throughput. According to WSM, it features:
- 6-, 8- and 10-foot drum diameters with lengths from 25 feet to 62 feet
- modular and interchangeable dual trunnion wheel mounts with self-adjusting pivot point
- modular cleaning brushes
- modular screen design using wire mesh or perforated plate screens
