US Shredder Enters New Markets
The U.S. Shredder and Castings Group, headquartered in Trussville, Ala., has entered into a supplier partnership with BBM S.p.A., based in Montichiari, Brescia, Italy.
Under the partnership agreement, U.S. Shredder will support BBM’s marketing and engineering team supplying equipment and castings to Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and India. The new venture will manufacture U.S. Shredder’s line of shredder systems and provide support to other shredder brands.
Established in 1965 as a fabricator of welded and machined parts and complete machines, BBM has extended its manufacturing portfolio into the railways sector and markets its equipment throughout the world. The company also operates a fabrication facility in India, which supports that local market.
“Our growth has always been based on being able to provide the best equipment and service in the areas we cover,” says Bill Tigner, U.S. Shredder president. “After being completely established in North America, we have successfully ventured into Mexico and South America with local support partners. The resources that BBM has in place will allow us to provide the best system and support in these new markets. It’s one thing to sell a system, it’s quite another to support it properly.”
The U.S. Shredder and Castings Group offers automobile shredders, control systems, downstream systems, nonferrous recovery systems, air systems, scrap shears, balers and loggers as well as shredder castings, service, engineering and consulting to the worldwide scrap industry.
