S+S Inspection Inc., part of Germany-based S+S Separation and Sorting Technology Group, has relocated its North American headquarters from Niagara, N.Y., to what the company says is a more central location in Bartlett, Ill., about 20 minutes from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.
S+S says it has seen its North American business grow significantly.
The new building incorporates an optical sorting line for S+S customers in the recycling industry and an applications laboratory with a complete range of X-ray inspection and metal detection equipment for customers in the food and plastics industries.
S+S Inspection North America General Manager Werner Fleps managed the move and the organization of the new facility.
The company says its in-house design and production engineering capabilities have been expanded at the new location.
The customer service center, also based in Bartlett, provides after-sales and technical support. Machine and spare parts inventories have been significantly increased, according to the company.
To help facilitate its growth, S+S Inspection also has added to its sales and distribution staff with the appointment of Tracey Hartje and Tony Rampino.
