Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., based in Billerica, Mass., has reported that its handheld line of Thermo Scientific Niton XL2 Series XRF analyzers has been recognized with the Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum. Thermo Fisher Scientific manufactures handheld X-ray fluorescence analyzers.
The Good Design Awards are presented yearly by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
“Achieving our primary goal of helping users save time and improve their productivity with fast, reliable and repeatable results would not be possible without an ergonomically designed instrument that was created with human and environmental factors in mind,” says Bob Wopperer, director of marketing and business development for Niton Analyzers at Thermo Fisher Scientific. “From the inside out, these instruments were designed to make our customers more successful.”
