Rockaway, N.J.-based iScrap App Inc. has announced the creation of its new app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, called the iScrap App. The application is designed to enable users to locate scrap yards; see the materials they buy; send pictures of materials; request containers; and obtain driving directions, hours of operation and contact information.
According to a news release from the company, the iScrap App for the iPhone will be available to the more than 50 million iPhone iOS device users through ATT, “plus millions more are anticipated” now that iPhones are available through Verizon.
“We are excited to be working with iScrap Inc. on their industry-changing app and website solutions,” says Darren Seys, CEO of Peak Seven Advertising in Deerfield Beach, Fla. “We were very impressed by their knowledge of the industry, which was imperative in developing an effective software solution.
“The amazing part of the whole experience is that we already have version 2.0 mapped out prior to version 1.0 release. This will be a long-term relationship for years to come, and it is a pleasure working with a forward-thinking team that has integrity,” Seys continues.
IScrap App Inc. says its team of employees also has developed the Recycler’s Toolbox, “which allows scrap yards to have a professionally designed website without the professional price tag in a fraction of the time.”
According to the company, with the iScrap App customers can:
- Locate and communicate with local scrap yards;
- Check pricing at multiple scrap yards at the same time;
- Take and send pictures of scrap materials;
- Call or e-mail scrap yards; and
- Obtain directions and hours of operation for different companies.
