Resource Exchange of America Corp., a Florida-based recycling company, has selected ScrapWareSV Software from ScrapWare Corp., Rockville, Md., as its new ERP (enterprise resource planning) system platform.
Employing an on-site ATM-style device, the software is designed to automate core processes, such as inventory, payment and data analysis, reducing costs and increasing operational efficiency in the process, according to a press release from REAC.
"We expect to see a range of short and long-term benefits from the new system," says Patrick Hrabos, REAC controller. "The decision forms part of our commitment to improved coordination across functional departments and efficiency in the way we do business."
A key selling point of the ScrapWare system was its “simple integration with existing systems and processes, scalability and an online training program, which creates a shallow learning curve,” REAC says. “Other benefits include the ability to collate all yard data on a worldwide scale, improved security and simplified compliance with global anti-theft laws.”
Dana Pekas, CEO of REAC, says, “Ultimately the system will benefit our clients whilst adding genuine bottom-line value to REAC's core business."
Resource Exchange of America Corp. is in the process of acquiring companies within asset recovery, processing and brokering of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal.
