St. Petersburg, Florida-based ProMed Waste Solutions LLC, a medical waste disposal company serving the state of Florida, has announced the acquisition of two medical waste transport companies.
The purchases of BioTran Inc. of Largo, Florida, and Bio-Man LLC of Naples, Florida, mark the latest step in the ProMed’s strategy to increase service route density by providing more resources within key geographic markets.
ProMed did not disclose financial terms of the deals.
The acquisitions enable ProMed Waste Solutions to better and more efficiently leverage important customer and sales synergies, the company says. Acquiring strong local expertise also further strengthens the company’s goal of continuing to lead the way in compliance and safety while providing customers in Florida with a local, qualified provider to meet their growing needs.
“The medical waste disposal market in Florida is thriving,” says ProMed Waste Solutions President Paul E. Reddish. “Our recent acquisitions, along with our organic growth plan, position us well to continue to be a local leader in the industry and to further expand our customer base throughout the state of Florida.”
ProMed Waste Solutions was founded in 2011 with operations in the Orlando area, and steady demand has since expanded their services statewide. The privately held company operates additional facilities outside Miami and outside Orlando.
ProMed Waste Solutions provides services to medical waste generators, including hospitals, doctors, dentists, veterinarians, research labs and surgery centers. The company also offers services for the disposal of hazardous waste, pharmaceutical waste, e-scrap and solid waste.
