SEM Hard Drive Destruction System
The Model 22 HDD Hard Drive Destruction System from Security Engineered Machinery (SEM) prevents data theft by shredding used computer hard drives using a rotary knife mill into irregularly shaped fragments that cannot be reconstructed, according to the company. Standard drives of up to 3 ½ inches can be destroyed easily and safely at a rate of 20 per hour, according to the company. The system is also ideal for destroying other items, such as hand-held electronic devices, computer backup tapes and circuit boards. The unit’s built-in conveyor automatically adjusts the feeding speed to prevent jamming. Up to 10 drives can be preloaded for automatic feeding. The particle size can be adjusting by changing the screen on the machine. Visit www.semshred.com, e-mail info@semshred.com or call 508-366-1488 for more information.
