Saturn Shredder
A new shredder from MAC/Saturn employs a number of dramatic design changes specifically meant to provide top performance in tough operations such as truck tire processing.
The new Saturn Model 60-44HT high-torque, low-speed, dual-drive shredder uses these new changes to increase shredding power by 25 to 30 percent. According to Mike Hinsey, MAC/Saturn project engineer, the shredder has especially excelled in truck tire processing, with the ability to process more than 450 truck tires per hour.
Case Wheel Loader
The flagship of Case Corp.’s wheel loader line is the 921B, a new version of the popular 921 wheel loader. The 248-horsepower machine features new axles and brakes, increased visibility and added operator convenience for improved performance in high-capacity applications. The new model features front and rear axles with outboard-mounted planetaries to relieve axle stress and provide convenient service access. Limited-slip differentials are also standard on the 921B, along with wet disc brakes with full hydraulic actuation.
Advance Lifts Safety Feature
Advance Lifts has added a new safety feature to its Bale-Rite vertical balers -- an automatic shut-off device to protect the operator and the baler should a malfunction occur in the system. In the event of a malfunction, the programmable controller, with its internal timer, senses the problem and shuts off the motor, thereby causing all platen movement to cease.
Nebraska Sweat Furnace
Nebraska Grain Services offers an aluminum sweat furnace that is designed to be efficient and easy to operate, and is available in capacities ranging from 3,000 to 12,000 pounds per day.
RGF Water Recycling System
RGF Environmental Systems Inc., a member of RGF Environmental Group, West Palm Beach, Fla., has introduced the Ultrasorb Model ST2 advanced wash water recycling system for heavy-duty steam and pressure cleaning use. The model ST2 uses the Catalytic Oxidation Process which oxidizes contaminants such as organics, algae, bacteria, pesticides, odor and color, eliminating the need for chlorine and floccing agents. The ST2 is designed for heavy-duty users such as municipal and state garages.
SSI Shredder Improvements
SSI Shredding Systems Inc. has been awarded a patent for its new pre-load clampnut device, the Advanced Cutter Locking System. The device allows cutter blades to be more securely fixed to the rotating shaft while creating a pre-load force which prevents all longitudinal movement of the cutters. This improves maintenance of close tolerances, also known as a tight cutter stack, which in turn enhances shredding quality and cutter wear rates.
Bulk Handling Bag Breaker
Bulk Handling Systems Inc. has introduced the BHS Bag Breaker. The machine is top-fed with two rotary drums that pull the bags apart. The material drops out of the bottom onto a conveyor with the empty bags in one or two pieces. The unit is available in two sizes. The smaller bag breaker, the B-60, is designed for blue bag recyclables, and the larger version, the B-72, is used for recovered office paper, household waste materials and yard waste. The bag breakers range in capacity from 40 to 60 bags per minute.
Toyota Forklift
Toyota industrial Equipment has a new line of engine-powered, cushion- and pneumatic-tire forklifts designed exclusively for the U.S. with features meant to help boost operator productivity. Those features include a four-way adjustable seat to reduce fatigue, added foot space to create a roomy foot compartment and utility wells to better store items such as inventory reports, order picking schedules, etc. These lifts feature full hydrostatic power steering and a smaller diameter steering wheel that helps reduce the effort of turning.
Encore Tire Shredder
Encore Tire Recovery, Inc. has developed a new mobile tire shredder, the T2, that collects and shreds whole tires, stores shredded material and transports it to an Encore Reprocessing Centre. There, the load is ejected for reprocessing. The mobile shredder can shred and contain up to 1,600 tires per day. The truck houses a conveyor system, compactor and shredder.
