WALKER MAGNETICS

O.S. Walker Co. Inc. has introduced custom-engineered, low-cost overhead magnetic separation systems for tramp iron and material recovery applications.

The separators are designed to be hung from six inches to 14 inches above the burden and are custom built with heavy cleated rubber belting from 12 inches to 60 inches wide.

Featuring high-power permanent magnets, these Walker separators are available in manual and self-cleaning designs with the frames, belting and drive components designed to be matched to the particular application.

Providing a lower installation cost than electromagnet powered systems, Walker Permanent Magnet Suspended Separators do not require a DC rectifier, coils or cooling fluids and related maintenance, and consume no power — resulting in reduced operating costs.

Typical applications include concrete, rebar and tramp iron, tin cans and material recovery facilities.

TRIPLE/S MINI RECLAIM SYSTEM

Triple/S Dynamics has introduced the Mini Reclaim System, a small, self-contained granulation and separation system. This 1,000-pound per hour wire and cable reclamation system is designed to deliver maximum processing flexibility at the lowest cost. The unit includes a 24H DFW Husky Granulator, a surge bin, a BX-110 Gravity Separator, and a screening conveyor.

The system features one-man operation, compact size, easy installation and relocation, rugged construction and completely mechanical operation. Options include a S-22H Stoner that separates tramp copper from aluminum and a baghouse air filter to remove dust from the exhaust stream.

LABOUNTY MOBILE SHEAR VIDEO

Advantages of using mobile shears for processing scrap cable and wire are highlighted in a new video from LaBounty Manufacturing.

The video, called "Mobile Shears Processing Cable & Wire," provides a look at the full range of LaBounty Mobile Shears at work in this labor-intensive application.

Processing cable and wire in a typical scrap or demolition setting with mobile shears is faster, more efficient and safer, according to LaBounty.

The video shows the full range of LaBounty mobile shears, from skid steer mounted up to MSD 100 for use with 100,000-pound base machines, at work processing ferrous and nonferrous wire, cable and rebar in a number of varied operations.

HARRIS BALER

Harris Waste Management Group Inc. has introduced a new baler, the Selco model HLO-8211(i)AR. This horizontal open-end, auto-tie baler is designed for large waste paper dealers and material recovery facilities.

The unit’s hydraulic system has been upgraded to a system pressure of 3,200 PSI. This enables a 10-inch Harris cylinder with a 100-horsepower intensified system to operate at the same rate as a 12-inch cylinder with a 2000-horsepower system.

The new unit produces a standard 43.5-inch wide, 43.5-inch high and 72-inch long variable bale. Its cycle time is 7.5 seconds (no load) and it can process 32,400 cubic feet per hour (no load).

PORTABLE MAYFRAN FILTRATION UNIT

Mayfran International now offers a simple, low-cost method for effective coolant cleaning, the Bag House Coolant filter. The completely portable self-contained filtration unit cleans machine tool coolant using a series of disposable mesh filter bags, which are available in various sizes to accommodate individual filtration requirements.

The compact unit is supported by heavy-duty locking casters for easy portability on the shop floor. The BHC filter provides a supplemental filter for Mayfran’s complete line of chip separator conveyors and chip processing equipment.

MULTITEK MULTISCREEN

Multiteck Inc.’s Multiscreen Model 480 is now available with an 80-horsepower John Deere diesel engine for portable screening or electric stationary for in-plant screening of municipal compost, wood residue and mill yard waste.

The unit is equipped with a two-cubic-yard hopper.

In addition, the holding bin elevator has a variable speed control and has been designed for continuous flow of material into the trommel screen. This screening mechanism allows the operator to use most sized screens and also features adjustable speeds.

The Multiscreen also features patented offset swinging hammers that pulverize materials in order to maximize the screening process.

CRAM-A-LOT CRAM-CAN

J.V. Manufacturing has introduced the Cram-A-Lot Cram-Can model RP-04. An alternative to open-top containers and standard vertical compactors, this four-yard compactor requires no installation and runs on 110 volts.

Compact in size, the Cram-Can conserves space while compacting materials such as solid waste with a force of 14,500 pounds.

MUSTANG HYDRAULIC SHEAR ATTACHMENT

Mustang Manufacturing Co. Inc. offers a hydraulic scrap shear attachment designed for use with the 960 model Mustang for processing both ferrous and nonferrous material. The shear has a jaw opening of 10.5 inches and is designed to rotate a full 180 degrees to the position shear to cut all types of materials of different shapes and angles. The shear can also be used to cut up rebar wire and cables that may be found in various types of construction and demolition debris.

REXWORKS MEGAGRIND 800

Rexworks has added the Megagrind 800 to its material processing line. The unit is a high-production grinder designed to process big wood, stumps, C&D debris and railroad ties at 200 tons per hour.

The end product size can be regulated by the screen selection and anvil setting.

The heart of the Megagrind 800 is a 48-inch by 72-inch horizontal grinder with a powered feed roll. A Cat 3412 engine provides 800 horsepower, and the discharge conveyor reaches a height of 15 feet.

GREENBERG CABLE STRIPPERS

Greenberg Engineering Co. now offers four opening versions of its popular model #312S eight opening cable stripping machines. The #312SL has a capacity of 1/16 inch to 13/16 inch O.D. of cable. The #312SH has a capacity of 7/8 inch to 3-1/2 inch O.D. of cable. Both of these machines are self adjusting with their floating shaft design over their full ranges. The machines are also self power feed because they have feeders on both power driven shafts.
