.Tramac PFH Series Shears
Tramac’s new PFH Demolition Shear is a combination tool that does not require changing of accessories in order to adapt to different materials. Whether working in the dismantling of steel structures, demolishing heavily reinforced concrete beams and panels or reducing scrap in a recycling operation, Tramac’s new combination demolition shear is at home in all of these activities. The unit can crack, crush and shear without needing to change jaws.
The nose teeth on the shear give the operator grappling or handling ability. When cutting is not necessary, production can be increased by grasping objects, then pulling and ripping them with the power of the excavator. This same ability enables the operator to load and stack materials further, speeding the demolition process.
Austin Magnet Generator Systems
Austin Heavy Equipment Services Inc. has introduced self-powered magnet generator systems in sizes ranging from 10 to 33 kilowatts. These self-contained units are fabricated from standard components and rated for 100 percent duty cycle service with low maintenance reliability.
Each Austin generator package is designed to be mounted or dismounted in a matter of minutes with minimal downtime for installation. The units are assembled with a narrow skid width of 24 to 28 inches and with easy access to routine service points. Because the system is powered by its own air-cooled Duetz diesel engine, there is no loss of crane horsepower, productivity or efficiency. Nor is there any generator-related build up of heat in the crane engine or hydraulic components.
Grasan Concrete Recycling Systems
Grasan road-portable concrete recycling systems feature Hazemag impact crushers specifically designed for recycling, which hold up well and are designed to be faster, more efficient and more versatile than jaw crushers or jaw/cone combinations. Impact crushers also are designed to give greater control over product size. Recycling impactors shatter concrete, leaving the steel virtually concrete-free so it can be pulled out by a magnetic separator, ready to sell to metals recyclers.
The Hazemag impactors in Grasan recycling systems use four reversible, 1,000-pound blow bars, each with four wear edges. The blow bars are available in a choice of three ear-resistant cast alloys for various applications, and the unit opens hydraulically for easy access to replaceable wear parts.
Flexco Conveyor Skirt Clamps
Flexible Steel Lacing Co. offers Flexco Flex-Lok Conveyor Skirt Clamps designed to improve conveyor maintenance procedures by allowing skirt rubber to be adjusted quickly and easily by one person with a few taps of a hammer, eliminating the problems associated with threaded fasteners.
By encouraging more frequent skirt adjustment, Flex-Lok Clamps help minimize spillage in a wide range of bulk material handling applications such as mining, quarrying, minerals processing, waste handling and recycling. Reduced spillage slows buildup of material around transfers and tail pulleys, which helps avoid tracking problems through less frequent clean-up and fewer repairs on tail-pulley shafts and bearings.
Caterpillar Reach Trucks
Caterpillar lift truck model NRR45P single reach and NRDR30P double reach are now available with more than 30 feet of lifting height.
This added capability will allow these products to be used in high-rack distribution facilities and now matches the 30.5 foot mast height available on the Caterpillar model NOR30P orderpicker.
There are 14 models of Caterpillar reach trucks from 2,500-pound to 4,500-pound capacity with 24- and 36-volt power in single reach, double reach and straddle truck configurations.
Teledyne Demolition Crushers
Teledyne Specialty Equipment has introduced a new series of crushers designed for the primary demolition of concrete bridges, pillars, retaining walls, buildings and foundations.
Six models are available with cylinder output from 44,000 pounds to 408,000 pounds to match a wide range of excavators and applications. All are designed to provide safe and quiet demolition with good control, contained vibrations and low powder emission.
All Teledyne crushers feature a 36-degree free swing mechanism that allows safe positioning of the jaws for precise sectioning of concrete bars and material cutting. Strong grip power is produced by two hydraulic cylinders for fast cycle time and maximum crushing force, and two replaceable hard steel cutters are positioned within the jaws for cutting reinforcing bars.
Wasteco Poly Box
WasteCo Manufacturing offers a water-tight polyethylene roll-off container designed for hauling problem materials. The main body of the unit is constructed from 100 percent virgin polyethylene, allowing for fast, easy dumping of frozen, sticky, abrasive or corrosive loads under any climatic condition, greatly reducing labor and equipment repair costs. The roll-off is available in sizes from 40 cubic yards down.
Ruger Counterbalanced Stacker
Ruger Equipment Inc. offers a new Counterbalanced Stacker series, which is designed to provide ergonomic function and structural superiority with up to 1,000 pounds of lift capacity. The unit’s primary application is to lift and transport light loads while doubling as a portable work station. The 10CB models lift without legs in front to interface with the load, turns within its own length and can double as a portable work station when an optional work platform is placed on the forks. A special bracket can be ordered to hold handtools from the top of the mast.
A choice of four power variations (winch, hydraulic, DC or AC) supplies lifting and lowering accuracy. A single mast provides excellent visibility. Adjustable 26-inch forks are standard, and Ruger’s patented two-speed valve and double chains are included on hydraulic models for enhanced load safety.
Galbreath Righthook MDS
Galbreath Inc. has introduced its RightHOOK Multi-Delivery System, a single-axle hook lift hoist main delivery unit combined with hook adaptable platforms and job specific implements.
The RightHOOK hoist, together with the MDS platform or job specific implement provides a total to-the-job-site mobility delivery and applications system. The multi-delivery system provides dumping; spreading of salt, fertilizers and gravel; flushing; hauling; and transporting of backhoes, generators, shredders and other equipment.
ORPAC ALUMINUM COATING
ORPAC Inc. has introduced to the aluminum recycling industry a high-temperature-use paint that produces a Teflon-like surface designed to be non-wetting and that will not stick to molten aluminum. Boron Nitride Releasecoat is applied by brushing or air-spraying, like ordinary housepaint, to make most metal, ceramic or graphite surface non-sticking to molten aluminum and its dross. The product is designed for metal molds, crucible pouring lips, troughs, and related equipment.
Komarek Briquetter/Compactor
The new B220QC roll-type Briquetter/Compactor from K.R. Komarek Inc. , designed to process a wide variety of particulate material, extends Komarek’s Quick Change concept to a larger version for pilot plant operations, with higher throughput capacity and greater roll separating force than offered by the earlier model.
The unit is especially useful for on-site testing and small-scale production in chemical, mineral, recycling, waste processing, steelmaking and metalworking. Its advanced quick change design permits users to make roll changes in minutes, simplifying product changeovers and the process of finding the optimal pressure needed to make the best briquet from a given material.
Vortex Oil Filter Crusher
Vortex has introduced a used filter compactor, the Mega Crusher, designed to process from six to 16 tons per hour. The unit is designed to ensure consistent furnace input with the least oil content, and has a crush force of 400,000 pounds. The Mega Crusher can accept crushed or uncrushed filters up to eight inches in diameter and 14 inches long, with no sorting required.
RGF Water Recycling Systems
RGF Environmental Systems Inc. has introduced the Ultrasorb Models MD1 & MD2 advanced wash water recycling systems for light duty users. The units include technology such as the Turbohydrozone, a heavy-duty ozone generation system designed to destroy organics; proprietary filter medias and the Polypropylene Incline Tube and Micromatrix Coalescors for low-level oil separation and removal. The Ultrasorb system is designed to eliminate EPA permitting and compliance problems through recycling.
Eriez Magnet Interpole Pulley
Eriez Magnetics has introduced the Permanent Magnet Pulley, a new and powerful magnetic pulley featuring a new circuit design. Four main axial poles and four interpoles are designed to improve magnetic field strength dramatically when compared with current magnetic pulley designs. The stronger magnetic field strength permits belt speeds up to 440 fpm with higher capacities.
Standard pulley diameters range from eight to 36 inches, while available belt widths range from eight to 60 inches. Larger sizes can be built to order.
Tire Service Equipment Universal Frame Lift
Tire Service Equipment Manufacturing Co. Inc. has designed and manufactured a fast action, long-reaching universal frame lift allowing operators to reach the frame on all vehicles up to 6,000 pounds.
The Model S-50 rolls and swivels on two large center wheels for instant, accurate positioning. With 40 inches between air cylinders and lift pads, the operator can reach beyond pointed grills and splash guards to lift the frame in the safest way possible.
The Model S-50 is designed for a lifting height of 32 inches, and includes adjustable pads that can spread anywhere from 26 inches to 55 inches.
Abanaki Grease Grabber
Abanaki Corp. has introduced a new skimmer, dubbed the Grease Grabber, designed to remove up to 160 gallons per hour of floating grease and heavy oil from water in pits, ponds and tanks. The unit has design features for extremely demanding applications, such as drainage pits in primary metals mills and factories; underground tanks and waste water sumps in parking lots, garages and service facilities; and truck, locomotive and other mobile equipment washing facilities.
The Grease Grabber can help users reduce fluid disposal costs by allowing reuse of cooling and wash water, and helps meet government requirements for discharge waster quality. Depending on the application, the Grease Grabber alone can reduce oil content in drain water to as low as five parts per million.
Ultratech Funnel
UltraTech has introduced a new funnel to pour waste materials into drums. Called the Ultra-Funnel, the unit is 25 inches in diameter and is designed to eliminate overspills associated with smaller, conical-shaped funnels. The Funnel’s channeled surface diffuses splashing and allows filters, paint cans, buckets and bottles to drain passively. The Universal model Ultra-Funnel fits both closed-head and open-head 55-gallon and 30 gallon drums. The unit’s octagon-shaped design covers the entire drum head, keeping drum tops free of contamination.
NPK Secondary Concrete Crushers
NPK Construction Equipment Inc. has introduced new secondary concrete crushers designed and built for effectively sizing concrete and steel rebar. At recycling plants, NPK concrete crushers can quickly remove steel rebar and reduce large pieces of concrete for processing. At demolition sites, sizing with an NPK Concrete Crusher saves time and money by reducing the number of trucks needed to haul away material.
The unit features an integral pressure intensifier which automatically activates when the jaws meet resistance, providing maximum crushing force and fast cycle speeds, Replaceable rebar cutter blades also eliminate labor intensive and hazardous cutting torch operations.
Designed for excavators in the 40,000 to 70,000-lb. class, NPK’s Model G-18A provides crushing forces up to 156 tons while Model G-26 can deliver crushing forces up to 287 tons.
Hytrol Flexible Conveyor
Hytrol has developed the Model FX heavy-duty flexible gravity skatewheel conveyor. This unit is designed for applications where the conveyor must be moved and stretched to fit a variety of situations. The conveyor is ideally suited for loading and unloading trailers. Workers can extend the conveyor into or out of the trailer bed as needed. The unit is also suited for packing, shipping and flexible assembly line operations. The conveyor can be curved to fit around corners, through doorways, etc. The skatewheel design keeps packages oriented in the curve of conveyor without side rails.
