FIRST-WEIGH SCALES
First-Weigh Manufacturing has introduced a new portable truck scale with a complete steel foundation attached. All components of the PC Series scale are already installed for quick set-up on most any type of firm surface – no concrete base is required.
AL-JON LOGGER
Al-jon Inc. has announced four improvements to its portable ABS 400 Logger/Baler, all of which have been incorporated into the logger as standard equipment. The improvements include a thicker tray floor for longer wear; an additional valve in the ram cylinder circuit of the hydraulic system to decrease cycle time; a new limit switch attached to the main ram cylinder to prohibit opening of the lid while the chrome rod is exposed; and a quick release system for the control levers that allows for easier entry to and exit from the operator’s cab.
TELSMITH IMPACTOR
Telsmith has introduced the new 3036 Horizontal Shaft Impactor that features a 36-inch-wide rotor operating at 75 horsepower to 100 horsepower. The impactor weighs 7,300 pounds and produces approximately 65 tons to 95 tons per hour of 0.75 inch minus reclaimed asphalt pavement. The 3036 HSI can also accept recycled concrete with rebar and medium hard limestone.

has released its updated 1996 Paper Recycling Markets Directory, a comprehensive index of more than 4,000 paper stock dealers, material recovery facilities, paper and paperboard mills, government recycling offices, transportation services and equipment and services suppliers.The directory features updated listings arranged geographically for easy reference. This year’s edition includes a complete list of companies serviced by railroads and an expanded international section. Each listing includes company name, address, contact, phone and fax numbers and a thumbnail description of the commodities handled or the equipment/services offered.
For added convenience, the directory is also available on computer disk. This format allows industry professionals to sort listings by location, type of operation and material handled.
PORTEC CRUSHER
Portec’s Construction Equipment Division announces the new Model 1047 EnviroJaw portable crushing system. The Model 1047 EnviroJaw provides a complete, user-friendly, low-maintenance crushing system for production in concrete and asphalt recycling, construction debris, hard rock aggregate and numerous other environmental volume reduction applications. Equipped with a 10-inch by 47-inch jaw, the EnviroJaw accepts material up to 8 inches at production rates of up to 100 tons per hour.
WALKER SEPARATOR
Walker Magnetics now has literature on its newest eddy current separation equipment for separating aluminum and other nonferrous metals from mixed burdens of belt-transported solid waste or scrap. The new literature provides an overview of Walker’s eddy current separation technology, and provides a convenient form for requesting technical assistance, estimates or a complete custom proposal.
GRASAN TRUSS
Grasan stationary truss and channel frame conveyors are available in 24-inch to 60-inch belt widths and lengths from 25 feet to 500 feet, complete with engineered drives and a variety of options such as walkways, covers and support legs. The standard truss main frames are 36 inches deep and all are jig welded. Truss sections are bolted through for extra strength. For long spans between supports, Grasan can furnish 48-inch or 60-inch deep trusses with extra heavy chord angles.
HYTROL CONVEYOR
Hytrol Conveyor Co. has the Model TA horizontal belt conveyor that can be used in many types of material handling situations, such as sorting, packing and inspection. The conveyor is designed for quick and easy set up, and is available in 10 belt widths up to 30 inches. The conveyor is also reversible when equipped with a center drive, and load capacity is 75 pounds per linear foot.
WENDT SHREDDERS
As the new exclusive distributor for Eldan Recycling A/S of Denmark, Wendt Corp. has completed design enhancements for two modular scrap tire shredding systems. The Rasper Model #HR 122-T and the heavy-duty Super Chopper Model #SC 1412+ now have the option of being mobile or stationary units. Wendt has designed trailer units for each machine so that processors can take the equipment directly to the landfill site to process and recycle used tires.
KRAIBURG CROSSINGS
Hi-Rail Full-Dept Rubber Grade Crossing Systems by Kraiburg of America are designed to last two to three times longer than conventional timber and asphalt crossings, according to the company. These crossing systems are made from recycled tires.
