HARRIS WASTE MANAGEMENT BALER
Harris Waste Management Group has introduced the HRB 817WS Selco Baler, a high-production 2-ram baler that creates a fast, dense bale at low cost, according to the company. Available this month, the unit features the Selco navigator, 150 horsepower and 50 percent compression chamber penetration. The baler also contains a 12-inch main ram for creating dense bales. Geared toward the paper market, the baler has a capacity of approximately 30 tons per hour. In addition, a control system allows the operator to customize up to 20 different materials by changing seven baling parameters per material.
AMERI-SHRED TIRE SHREDDER
The Primary Passenger Tire Shredder from Ameri-Shred Industrial Corp. features a 30-inch wide throat opening to shred whole passenger car tires into 2-inch wide strips for volume reduction or to further process materials into chip form in an Ameri-Shred secondary shredder. The machine uses only a 60-horsepower drive and has a throughput of 13.2 tons per hour. It can also shred other materials such as sheet metal or wood.
MASTERMAG MAGNETS
The Mastermag Permanent Self Cleaning Recycling Magnet from Global Equipment Marketing has been successfully used in all types of recycling industries, including concrete, asphalt, tires, wood, glass, construction and demolition debris, solid waste and others. There are more than 1,400 units in service worldwide and more than 110 different models available covering every size conveyor and material burden depth, according to the company. Both electric and hydraulic drives are available to operate the self-cleaning belt.
SIMPLICITY SCREENS AND FEEDERS
Simplicity Materials Handling Ltd. has a wide range of screens and feeders for the recycling industry. The company has two-bearing, low-profile, horizontal-vibrating, four-bearing, dual-mechanism and high-speed screens; vibrating scaplers; and grizzly and pan feeders. Many of the units are available in multiple sizes and models.
GPI VERTICAL BALER
The GPI System Ten Sixty Baler can be configured as a unique rear-feed baler for use in high-capacity situations as well as a simple front-feed system where space is at a premium.
Using the rear-feed system, steel and aluminum cans, plastic bottles and newsprint are simply dumped into the conveyor hopper. This recyclable material is then conveyed into the baler and automatically compacted into dense bales. When the desired bale height is reached, the baler shuts down and signals the operator to tie off and eject the bale.
GEHL SKID STEER VIDEOS
Gehl Co. now has available two video programs. One, titled Safe Operation Of Gehl Skid Loaders, reviews the fundamentals of proper skid loader operation. The other video, titled Proper Operation Of The Gehl Dynalift And Dyna-Handler, describes the correct way to operate an extendable-boom, rough-terrain forklift.
WALKER LIFT MAGNETS
Walker Magnetics has published a new 28-page catalog that features its heavy-duty lift magnets for scrap, mill and material handling. The catalog also features a special section on total engineered sections and applications, electrical systems, controls, cutting table lifting systems and Walker’s unique remanufacturing program for magnet repairs.
OIL SKIMMERS RECOVERY SYSTEM
The Oil Skimmers Model 6V oil recovery system removes animal, vegetable and petroleum-based oils, fats, greases and oily wastes that float on the surface of water. The unit removes as much as 100 gallons of waste oil per hour and decants it into a drum. The oil recovery system removes waste oil by means of a specially formulated polyurethane collector tube. Oil adheres to the outside of the closed-loop tube as it is slowly drawn across the surface of the water and into the oil skimmer. The tube snakes over and around floating debris, adjusting automatically to changing water levels.
ERIEZ VIDEOS
Eriez Magnetics has a new brochure that reviews eight videos available free to those in the recycling industry. The videos show the company’s magnetic, vibratory and metal detection equipment tackling some of industry’s toughest processing problems. Each video is about 10 minutes long and comes with a brochure.
In addition, Eriez has released a four-page brochure on the company’s complete line of separation and feeding equipment for the recycling and waste processing industry, including eddy current separators, feeders and conveyors.
