MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC FORKLIFT

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has introduced the new FBC15-30 Series – 3,000- to 6,000-pound electric forklifts that offer the GE EV100ZX traction controller with four push-button, preset travel modes. The modes are designed to handle a variety of tasks, from soft acceleration for fragile cargo handling to top travel speeds on long-distance runs.

VERMEER TUB GRINDER

Vermeer Manufacturing has added a loader attachment and operator cab to its heavy-duty Brawny TG-400 tub grinder. The addition of the 27-foot knuckleboom loader system with a load rating of 100,000 foot/pounds, is designed for max-imum reach and efficiency – especially effective with major land clearing projects, according to the company. The loader is available with two grapple options to handle a var-iety of materials. In addition, the new climate-controlled cab allows operators to better control the loading process. The cab rotates 370 degrees with the boom, and is surrounded by high-strength Lexan glass.

HAZEMAG IMPACT CRUSHER

The new Hazemag APPH-Series hydraulic impact crushers feature a fully automatic hydraulic apron cylinder system that uses counteracting pressures that can be varied to suit particular feed materials. The aprons retract in a controlled manner and return to their preset position automatically, providing smoother crusher operation, according to the company. The APPH-Series includes six impactor sizes with capacities ranging from 150 to 600 tons per hour.

CATERPILLAR WALKIE

The Caterpillar NPP40 all-purpose walkie comes with a 4,000-pound capacity. Standard features of the lifting and transport device include a key switch, toe guard, lift cutout switch and more than 6 inches of lift. The unit’s multi-function handle is designed for comfort and convenience, with large thumb wheels and a twist-grip handle that provides smooth, effortless acceleration and direction control. According to the company, the walkie is a great way to move a single pallet of recyclables with minimum effort.

ASOMA OIL ANALYZER

ASOMA Instruments Inc. has available the Model 200TC-SST SuperSeries bench-top analyzer that can measure trace amounts of lead, chlorine, sulfur, zinc and other contaminants in recycled or used oil in less than 5 minutes with no sample preparation. The analyzer can be used to determine whether the oil is recyclable or a hazardous material requiring disposal. Since used oil is often burned as fuel, many state and federal environmental agencies regulate the levels of lead and sulfur in such fuels.

ALTEK DROSS PRESS

The Press from Altek International Inc. is a new treatment of hot dross in the aluminum industry. Occupying a small space, generally in the casthouse, the freshly skimmed dross is placed into The Press where 15 percent to 35 percent of pure metal is recovered. The remaining compressed dross skull is still rich in metal, having quickly stopped the oxidation process.

The patented technology cools the dross and pretreats the remaining dross by causing most of the small metallic particles in the dross to migrate to the surface of the skull. An outer metallic skull is created by this plating action encapsulating the oxide center and eliminating the dust problem. The compressed dross skulls are in a form in which the recycler can easily separate the recoverable metallics from the oxides.

UE SYSTEMS BEARING PROBE

The Ultraprobe 2000 Ultrasonic Inspection System from UE Systems is used by maintenance engineers to diagnose problems in bearings, including lack of lubrication and early stages of the bearings’ failure. The portable instrument detects cavitation in pumps, leaks in compressor valves, electrical arc, corona discharges and all types of pressure, vacuum and stream trap leakage.

THOMAS GRAPPLE BUCKET

Thomas Equipment Ltd. has introduced its Industrial Grapple Bucket for easy handling of tough materials. The heavy-duty grapple tines have a wide opening to allow for easy loading of material into the  60- or 72-inch sizes.

POLYMER GRANULATOR

Polymer Systems’ Press Side Granulators are upright, general-purpose granulators, designed for versatility and convenience. They feature the high-sheer Double Angle Cut design that is an economical and efficient configuration for press-side applications, according to the company.
