Erema Group GmbH Intarema FibrePro:IV
Austria-based Erema Group GmbH has introduced the Intarema FibrePro:IV system for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fiber-to-fiber recycling applications. The technology marks the plastic recycling vendor’s entry into the fibers and textiles sector and:
- has been developed for PET fiber-to-fiber recycling, with especially gentle material preparation and efficient removal of spinning oils
- produces recycled-content PET (rPET) that can be reused in proportions of up to 100 percent for the production of very fine fibers
- is combined with a new IV optimizer, which increases the intrinsic viscosity of PET melt following extrusion via polycondensation
- can further process scrap PET fiber from fabric and textile production into rPET filament fiber, carpet yarn and staple fiber

Lindemann NxtCut scrap shears
Germany-based Lindemann Metal Recycling Solutions has released the next generation of its NxtCut hydraulic scrap shear, specifically designed for processing moderate volumes of assorted light to medium-heavy scrap metal. The NxtCut shear:
- is the successor to the company’s Powercut II shear for medium-heavy, bulky mixed steel scrap, incorporating the benefits of advanced structural analysis
- is available in two configurations—TD80 and the shorter TD62
- has a new tank design and technology, reducing oil volumes by more than two-thirds—from 6,200 liters (1,638 gallons) to 2,500 liters (660 gallons)—while saving up to 72,000 kilowatt hours of energy use per year compared with its predecessor
- can process up to 41 tons per hour
- features improved wear plate design, providing maximum protection for the structure of the NxtCut shear frame, with easily replaceable liners that are a result of the effort to reduce maintenance costs
