Portland, Indiana-based Brigade Electronics has introduced detection cameras equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) to the U.S. market. The latest addition to Brigade’s portfolio of safety solutions:
- uses AI to recognize humans within a predefined detection zone and warn drivers visually and audibly before a possible collision occurs
- requires no configuration software, making it quick and easy to install for fleets across a range of industries
- offers enhanced visibility at the front and rear of the vehicle
- recognizes and alert drivers to people in a vehicle’s blind spots
- is plug-and-play, connecting directly to Brigade’s monitors and, if required, to buzzers
- is compatible with all Brigade high-definition monitors and mobile digital video recorders

Epax Systems Ropax Roto-Compactors
Panorama City, California-based Expax Systems Inc. has released the Ropax Roto-Compactor to compact recyclables and waste at the point of generation. The company says the compactor is ideal for use in warehouses and distribution centers, supermarkets, department stores, hospitals, hotels and conference centers. Ropax Roto-Compactors:
- use a rotating drum with metal teeth to shred and compact materials, including cardboard boxes, produce crates, plastics and polystyrene
- are available in Bin Packer and Bag Packer models
- Bin Packers compact material into the included 1.5-cubic-yard steel container with casters, and built-in fork sleeves on the container facilitate collection via front-loading collection trucks
- Bag Packers compact and bale material into 370-gallon plastic bags that sit on a 48-inch-by-40-inch pallet and can be removed by a hand pallet jack and sealed to create a self-contained bale
- require little space and no structural alterations to facilities

Bateman Manufacturing Speedlock rotating quick coupler
Bateman Manufacturing, a Gryb International company based in Ontario, has released its Speedlock rotating quick coupler, an automatic coupling system designed to streamline material handling operations and boost productivity. Bateman’s Speedlock rotating quick coupler:
- allows for the changing of hydraulic attachments in 15 seconds
- is equipped with a mechanical lock indicator to ensure every connection is soundly secured
- has 360 degrees of continuous rotation, powered by a heavy-duty motor
- is equipped with electric swivel integration, eliminating cable clutter and enabling hassle-free use of lifting magnets
- has a height of 45.5 inches, a width of 24.3 inches and a length of 37.53 inches, with a coupler weight of 530 pounds, a rotator weight of 450 pounds and an adapter weight of 511 pounds
- features a max lift capacity of 33,000 pounds
