Caterpillar MH3026 material handler
Deerfield, Illinois-based Caterpillar has launched the MH3026 material handler, which is designed for use in waste and scrap metal applications. The MH3026:
- features an electrohydraulic system that optimizes the balance of power and efficiency to improve cycle times and handle more material
- is powered by the Cat C7.1 engine and can operate on up to B20 biodiesel
- includes front linkage offerings that provide a reach of nearly 43 feet
- has a range of available attachments and reach options
- offers large tempered glass windows with small pillars to enhance visibility and operating safety
- comes with a ground-level shutoff switch to stop fuel to the engine and shut down the machine
- includes Caterpillar’s Standard Product Link to capture operating data, such as location, hours, fuel usage, productivity, idle time, maintenance alerts and fault codes

3rd Eye Purif-Eye camera system
Dover Environmental Solutions Group’s 3rd Eye, a route optimization services company based in Downers Grove, Illinois, has launched Purif-Eye. The Purif-Eye camera system:
- can collect images of commercial container content and process them to identify potential contamination in recycling streams
- helps fleet owners educate customers by monitoring their material streams to reduce recycling contamination
- can assist recycling haulers by reducing loads of recyclables rejected at material recovery facilities
- does not reduce route productivity as manually inspecting and photographing loads does

Vezzani, Ovada, Italy, has released its VS series of scrap shears, which is designed to meet the needs of the evolving scrap industry with its modular design. VS series shears:
