Sennebogen 821 electric material handler with Powerpack
Sennebogen LLC, Stanley, North Carolina, has introduced the 821 ME electric material handler with integrated powerpack. The company says the model offers:
- the advantages of an electric handler with a mobile unit
- a 90-kilowatt electric motor, offering low operating and service costs and eliminating the need for exhaust treatment and particulate filters in the work zone
- all hydraulic functions can be operated when in Powerpack mode
- designed to be maneuverable and compact

Tribogenics hand-held analyzer
Los Angeles-based Tribogenics has added high-speed, high-precision aluminum alloy identification to the software library for its Watson analyzer, which it says features:
- a process similar to static electricity to generate X-rays
- replaceable, interchangeable X-ray sources
- speed and accuracy for aluminum grade identification
- four times less expensive than LIBS (laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy) units and 2.5 times less expensive than competing hand-held XRF devices
- suitable for small and midsized recyclers
