Chromasens allPIXA SWIR Line Scan cameras
Germany-based Chromasens GmbH, which has distribution partners throughout North America, has introduced its allPIXA SWIR (short-wave infrared) Line Scan camera and its Corona II LED Illumination system to offer real-time, fast, nondestructive inspection and sorting of mixed plastics, improving the productivity of the recycling process. The allPIXA SWIR Line Scan cameras:
- are available in a choice of GenICam-compliant GigE Vision or CameraLink interfaces
- feature an InGaAs uncooled sensor capable of handling wavelengths from 950 to 1,700 nanometers, while its compact footprint permits integration in space-limited recycling plants
- can distinguish between a range of plastic types, facilitating accurate separation on a conveyor belt leading to an array of air jets
- detect foreign particles mixed in with the plastic, discharging them with minimal material loss before sorted fractions are transported to the next processing stage
- pair with Corona II LED illumination to offer a wide range of solutions for line scanning, including dark field LED illumination modules for ultra-fast SWIR inspection and sorting

Liebherr T 60-9s telescopic handlers
Germany-based Liebherr, with U.S. headquarters in Newport News, Virginia, offers its T 60-9s material handler for a range of loading tasks, including sorting and compressing materials and loading and unloading containers. The material handlers:
- are equipped with a Deutz Tier 4 diesel engine and can be operated in a particularly energy-efficient manner
- include an optional auto-power function that enables fast loading cycles and allows the engine speed to be automatically adjusted without changing he driving speed
- feature Liebherr Hill-Assist, which provides safety and high levels of driving comfort when driving over uneven terrain
- have a newly designed chassis frame and wheelbase
- include end-position damping, installed as standard in the model’s lifting and telescopic cylinder—designed to ensure safe movement of the load, even with an extreme boom position

Endura-Veyor Optimizer Container Dumpers
Alpena, Michigan-based Endura-Veyor has introduced its patent pending Optimizer Container Dumper to tackle challenges commonly associated with hydraulic container dumpers regarding speed, hydraulic fluids, space constraints and overhead clearance limitations. Optimizer Container Dumpers:
- are hydraulic-free, operate quietly and extend the horizontal reach to unload bulk and loose material into receiving equipment within a small footprint
- have a rotational design, enabling drums to rotate in a manner that evades overhead clearance interferences, even with higher discharge height requirements
- are driven by dual oversized chains with built-in redundancy, providing extra strength, lifting power and reliability for various processing, handling, sorting, storage or receiving operations
- come in Optimizer and Hi-Lift Optimizer models include a programmable logic controller, a human machine interface screen or user-friendly push buttons, auto-lube chain and cycle tracking
