Columbia Industries, Hillsboro, Oregon, recently has released its next-generation Horizon 50/65 T tipper. Originally introduced to the solid waste and recycling industries in the 1960s, the company says tippers have found market acceptance throughout the world. The Horizon 50/65 T has:
- automated leveling and digital joystick controls
- expandable electronic monitoring
- a new spill-through chute
- a single platform design that will accommodate 50-ton or 65-ton loads

Cat wheeled material handlers
Caterpillar, Peoria, Illinois, says its new range of wheeled material handlers, the MH3022, MH3024
- a narrower undercarriage if low-density materials are being handled
- shorter front linkages if the machine frequently works in confined spaces, such as performing sorting and material handling indoors
- one of two drop-nose sticks for the MH3022 and MH3026 with lengths of 14.75 feet and 18.1 feet
- a front push blade for all undercarriage types across the three models

Stamford, Connecticut-based cieTrade Systems Inc., a global provider of business software for trading and recycling companies, has launched cieDispatch, a mobile app for truck drivers to manage dispatch jobs. The cieDispatch:
- can instantly retrieve a list of assigned tickets, get directions to service locations, update job statuses, record notes
and capture photos - updates information from the driver instantly
- alerts the back office when a load is completed or if it is canceled, along with the reason
why, making it easier to process claims and to issue invoices - displays primary contact information and site-specific instructions

Mavrix Welding Automation dual-torch hard-surfacing system
Mavrix Welding Automation Inc., based in New Berlin, Wisconsin, has redesigned its dual-torch shredder disc rebuild system. Features include:
- a dual-torch system that can apply 50 pounds of weld metal per hour, significantly shortening downtime, the frequency of maintenance events and the cost per ton of scrap, according to Mavrix
- two weld carriages that support the weld arm and adjustable open arc torches, wire feeders and 60-pound coils of wire
- a carriage design that allows the main beam and legs to be installed first and the carriages second, significantly reducing the weight of the system and making installation easier
