SCHRED MAX 56
Recent demonstrations at construction sites in Florida and Ontario have displayed the capabilities of the Schred Max 56 SD from Protoworks Inc.
• At a building site, the shredder kept the site clean and reduced the number of container loads, grinding everything from waste wood, drywall, wire spools, paint pails, pallets, vinyl and aluminum siding, plastic, cardboard, electrical and plumbing ends, insulation and concrete.
• The model 56 SD proved "a perfect match" for compact skid steers, mini excavators and typical construction site loading equipment. One processor used a Caterpillar 262 skid steer to collect material around the site and the Schred Max remote control to create a one-person job. The operator was able to collect the material, put it in the hopper, run the machine and move the processed material and dump it in the 40-yard roll-off bin without having to leave his mobile loader.
• The Schred Max 56 SD sets up on top of four-yard tip bins and up to 20-yard roll-off containers or can be configured to discharge directly onto the ground for loader removal. It also can discharge directly on top of a stacking conveyor for easy stockpiling.
• Adjustable outrigger legs elevate the machine manually and the Mobile Max option allows contractors to haul it from site to site with either a Class 7 or Class 8 truck.
• The continuously variable torque slow-speed bi-rotational hydraulic drive is powered with a standard 50 hp Caterpillar diesel engine. The 9-inch single solid shaft with 3.5-inch thick bi-directional cutting teeth means that just about anything that is fed into the top of the four-yard hopper will come out the bottom shredded. This includes everything from railroad ties to reinforced concrete, tramp iron and rock. For more information visit www.schredmax.com or call 519-882-3700.

CW MFG. THROWN OBJECT RESTRAINT |
CW MFG. THROWN OBJECT RESTRAINT CW Manufacturing has engineered a combination tub cover and backstop assembly that allows the operator to run a HogZilla tub grinder while controlling possible thrown objects. • Features a huge guard that can hydraulically adjust from a high and wide position to a fully enclosed position for clean-out. • Adjustment is smooth and easy from the control panel or from a wireless remote control. Adjustments also can be made to the angle of the top section. • A long side travel helps ensure that the guard does not become an interference point in applications where material might branch out of the tub. • The guard’s size, adjustment and covering can be manufactured to the customer’s specifications based on their application and preferences.
