Major Wire Industries Ltd. has introduced Flex-Mat Series screen cloths, a series of self-cleaning screen cloths. The cloth is made of polyurethane with oil-tempered carbon or stainless steel wire and can help eliminate clogging and pegging. According to the manufacturer, the features allow the screen to produce cleaner material, and handle wet and very fine material better than woven wire cloth. Flex-Mat also lasts three to five times longer than some other cloths, according to the company.

The screen can go for several months without being cleaned and before needing to be replaced. The Flex-Mat series comes in three shapes—the diamond (D), the wave (S) and the triangle (T) – and are available with openings from .031 to two inches.

The Nordberg NW3055 portable plant is an open circuit, wide-jawed plant suited for processing feed material, including recyclable pavements, crushed stone, sand and gravel. Based on Nordberg’s hard rock C-Series jaw crusher design, the C3055 is 63 inches long and has feed openings of 30 by 55 inches. The plant is powered by a diesel drive and generator or as fully electric powered.

Wheeler-Rex has introduced a new hinged-style pipe cutter. The four- wheel cutter has a guide bar design that provides smooth operation and accurate pipe cutting. The guide bars can be replaced if damaged. Four inches of sidewall clearance is needed to operate the unit, which makes it ideal for narrow or confined spaces. Four sizes are available to cut ductile, stainless steel, cast iron and steel pipe ranging in size from two to 12 inches in diameter.

Lippmann Milwaukee Inc. has added a full line of impact crushing equipment to its product offerings. The line is an Andreas-type design, which the company says will offer customers reliability, simplicity of design and ease of maintenance. Models available include the 4248, 5165 and 5196 impact crushers. The units are available in stationary, skid-mounted or portable plants and can handle materials ranging from recycled concrete and asphalt to limestone and basalt.

The T153 S is the new skid steer loader in the 1,500 class from Thomas Equipment. The new model has the ability to fit into tight areas, with a 73.5-inch operating height and a 60-inch working width. The front end offers 4,150 pounds of breakout force, and the loader is powered by a 52-horsepower Kubota V2203E engine.

The PT Valve Tire Pressure Monitoring System from Haltec Corp. offers an easy-to-read dial gauge for heavy equipment air pressure testing. The PT valve and gauge is designed to let operators know if a heavy equipment tire is running below its ideal air pressure setting sooner, rather than waiting until it is visually noted, which can be too late to prevent permanent damage.
