EAGLE CRUSHER STEALTH 2

The portable Stealth 2 UltraMax 05 crushing system by Eagle Crusher Co. Inc. can process two cubical products simultaneously. An Eagle stacker and a double-deck screen can combine to process 150 tons per hour while maintaining the compact integrity and mobility of the plant. The Stealth 2 features a 33-inch by 32-inch feed opening that can handle reinforced concrete, C&D debris, rubble, asphalt, limestone and sand and gravel. The addition of the 5-feet by 10-feet two-deck sizing screen makes the Stealth 2 more versatile. The unit has a travel height of 13 feet, six inches, meaning it can be towed over most highways without the need for special permits or notification.

CATERPILLAR 345B MATERIAL HANDLER

Caterpillar Inc. has announced development of the Caterpillar 345B Material Handler. The 345B MH incorporates proven construction equipment technology coupled with features designed to move scrap, demolition debris and bulk materials quickly and efficiently when equipped with a grapple, magnet or clamshell. The 345B MH produces 290 hp and weighs 122,550 pounds. Caterpillar specifically designed features to deliver high productivity and reliability in scrap and material handling applications.

TRYCO/UNTHA SHREDDER

Tryco Manufacturing has introduced the Tryco/Untha Model LR-700 Shredder, its most economical ram feed grinder with auger removal system. Boards—including wallboard, plywood and virtually any type of hard or soft wood—drop-offs, panes and blocks can be reduced to saleable mulch, bedding or fuel with the new LR series Untha Shredder. Hardened steel cutters, mounted in replaceable holders, operate quietly at 80 dB and do the job at a slow 96-rpm. A Siemens Electronic Control system provides the proper ram pressure plus automatic cutter reversal and foreign substance recognition.

TRAMAC SILENT DEMOLITION ATTACHMENTS

Tramac’s latest generation of hydraulic silent demolition attachments has been launched, covering carriers from 17 to 66 tons. Complementing the wide range of Tramac breakers, each demolition attachment is available as a standard MB version–the MB-350, MB-400 and MB-550–with jaws designed for processing concrete and rebar in one operation. With interchangeable jaws, the MB can be converted into a steel shear or concrete pulverizer, designated in the Tramac line by the letters MS and MP respectively.

USM PRODUCTION PLUS PARTS

U.S. Manufacturing Inc. (USM) Production Plus Parts are designed to prolong the life of replacement wear parts for tub grinders and horizontal feed machines by as much as 50%. USM’s patented design protects nearly all of the replacement tip’s unused portion, allowing for a fresh cutting edge with every use. Production Plus parts are available for most major model grinders.

KOMATSU PC270LC-6 EXCAVATOR

Komatsu American International Co.’s PC270LC-6 hydraulic excavator features a quick cycle time as well as increased lift capacity. A 174 horsepower engine is standard, while the 1.63 cubic yard bucket can lift more than 26,000 pounds. The PC270LC-6’s Active Power Up Mode can be activated to increase engine RPMs and hydraulic flow.

METALLISCANNER METAL LOCATOR

The MetalliScanner 6.0 from Zircon Corp. can determine the depth and location of metal up to six inches beneath the surface of solid concrete and other surfaces. The device can be set to find either ferrous or nonferrous metal. Demolition contractors trying to estimate the amount of metal within a structure can use MetalliScanner to make a more accurate determination.

HORIZON II PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR

Horizon II protective eyewear from Gateway Safety Inc. provides eye protection while leaving an unobstructed, wide viewing area. The one-piece lens is angled up to avoid resting on the cheekbone, while a soft vinyl nosepiece and adjustable areas near the temples can also provide a better fit. Molded-in side shields provide superior side protection while still leaving the clear peripheral view. The protective eyewear meets or exceeds ANSI Z87.1 standards, according to the manufacturer.

GRASAN RUBBLE-CRUSHING PLANTS

Road-portable rubble-crushing plants from Grasan feature six independent hydraulic legs—two in the front, two in the middle and two at the rear of the unit. The independently operated legs can speed up plant set-up and tear-down operations. Each leg has its own raise-lower control and 324-inch footpad for stable footing. Each footpad also raises 12 inches above ground level to enable the unit to travel.
