Plainwell Inc. announced that Plainwell Tissue - Memphis, Inc., an affiliated company, completed the purchase of the assets of Shelby Tissue, Inc. Shelby Tissue, Memphis, has paper-making capacity of 120 tons per day.
"This acquisition adds capacity to Plainwell's national network of consumer tissue production facilities and allows us to better serve our customers," commented William L. New, chairman and CEO.
