Steinert US announces sales personnel changes
Walton, Kentucky-based Steinert US, a magnetic separation and sensor-sorting equipment supplier, has announced that Ross Meadema, regional account manager for the scrap industry in the eastern United States, will increase his territory to include the central United States. Additionally, the company has added David Quinn as its new regional sales executive – East/waste and recycling.

Steinert US is the North American headquarters for Cologne, Germany-based Steinert Elektromagntetbau GmbH, a global leader in separation technology solutions for the scrap, waste, recycling and mining industries. Republic Services announces promotion
Republic Services Inc., Phoenix, has announced that Catharine D. Ellingsen has been named executive vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary. She will report directly to President and CEO Donald W. Slager and replaces Michael P. Rissman, who was on a leave of absence before leaving the company.
Ellingsen joined Republic’s legal team in August 2001. During her 15 years at the company, she held roles of increasing responsibility, including managing corporate counsel, associate general counsel and vice president, deputy general counsel. She most recently held the position of senior vice president, general counsel, where she directed the company’s corporate governance and legal affairs, including litigation, commercial transactions and legal regulatory matters during Rissman’s leave of absence. Prior to that, Ellingsen was the senior vice president of human resources for five years.

Prior to joining Republic, Ellingsen spent nine years in private practice, primarily focused on employment and labor law for international law firms Steptoe & Johnson LLP, Washington, and Bryan Cave LLP, St. Louis.
FCM appoints vice president of sales and marketing
FCM Recycling Inc. (FCM), Lavaltrie, Quebec, has announced the appointment of Joel Bussiere as vice president of sales and marketing for the FCM Polymers division.
“We are excited to have Joel join us in the role of VP, sales and marketing, at FCM polymers,” says Andrew Rubin, president of FCM Recycling. “His new responsibilities will include leading the development of returning our recycled plastics into the global injection molding market.”
Bussiere has more than 20 years of experience in the plastics industry, according to FCM. He was most recently president of Montreal Polymer and director of sales for Andritz.
Aleris announces appointment
Aleris Corp., a Cleveland-based aluminum company, has appointed Jack Govers executive vice president and president of Europe and global markets. In this role, Govers will oversee all aspects of Aleris’ European business as well as the company’s global automotive and aerospace strategy. He will report to Sean Stack, Aleris president and CEO.
Govers previously served as a top executive with SABIC, a global petrochemical producer.
“Jack has extensive experience leading both global and regional teams within large industrial companies, making him a great fit to step in and lead our European business and drive continued growth in our global markets,” Stack says. “Jack’s leadership will help us accelerate our work to achieve sustainable, reliable operations and continue the shift in our product mix toward more value-added aerospace, automotive and industrial products.”
Mumford Industries’ vice president joins South Carolina recycling council
Mumford Industries Inc., a full-service South Carolina recycling company, has announced its Vice President of Business Development and Marketing Tina Green Huskey has been appointed by Gov. Nikki Haley to the Recycling Market Development Advisory Council (RMDAC).
RMDAC functions under the South Carolina Department of Commerce to boost materials recovery, promote the recycling value chain across the state and to provide recycling program recommendations to the governor and General Assembly each year.
Prior to joining Mumford Industries in 2005, Huskey worked in the industry for 12 years as an account representative for a Fortune 500 waste hauling company, as a general manager for a mill-direct paper recycling facility and as a private waste consultant to large industrial clients.
Huskey is the past chairperson for RecyclonomicsSC and a South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) certified S.C. Recycling Professional.
Navistar appoints vice president of parts sales
Navistar Inc., Lisle, Illinois, has named Carlos Junquera as vice president of sales, North America parts. Junquera will be responsible for cultivating existing relationships with Navistar customers and developing new business opportunities to increase parts sales and market share.
“We’re excited to have Carlos leading our North American parts sales team,” says Michael Cancelliere, senior vice president of global parts and customer service. “As International continues to grow, I know his knowledge of parts, service, sales and customer service is exactly what we need to keep on growing our business. Dealers and customers will be well-served by Carlos as he leads our sales efforts in the parts group.”
Junquera has held various roles at Navistar in the parts group, customer service organization and engine group. In his most recent position as director of parts and service for the eastern hemisphere, Junquera spent seven years travelling the world achieving year-over-year growth in total revenue throughout Europe, Russia, Middle East, North Africa, Asia-Pacific and Oceania.
