Steve Nedelman has joined Global Recycling as an account executive.
He has more than 30 years of recycling industry experience. Nedelman spent more than 20 years at Steiner-Liff Iron & Metal/PSC Metals, where he served in several positions, including VP of nonferrous. When Philip Services Corp. acquired Steiner-Liff in 1997, he became the nonferrous director. Nedelman also was instrumental in opening a greenfield scrap facility in Nashville, Tenn., later to be known as Metal Management-Nashville.
Global Recycling is based in Charlotte, N.C., and also has a facility in Little Rock, Ark.
Shred-Tech Announces Executive PromotionsShred-Tech, the Cambridge, Ontario-based information destruction and reduction systems manufacturer, has announced the appointments of Joe Roberto to the position of vice president of sales and marketing and Cheryl Rutledge to the post of human resources manager.
As VP of sales and marketing, Roberto oversees the company’s worldwide sales and marketing initiatives and dealer activities.
As human resources manager, Rutledge develops and manages employment and training programs, salary compensation, job evaluations and benefits.
Previously, Roberto served as sales manager at Shred-Tech. Prior to joining Shred-Tech in 2004, Roberto was president and a partner in Kwik-Shred, a document shredding company based in Chicago.
Previously, Rutledge was human resources coordinator, where she established standardized policies and procedures and brought continuity to the Shred-Tech organization. She received her Human Resource Management Certification from Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario.

Heil Environmental Names Tim Tarte General Manager of Parts CentralRefuse and recycling vehicle manufacturer Heil Environmental, Chattanooga, Tenn., has named Tim Tarte general manager for Parts Central, a Heil company.
Tarte leads his team in creating new sales and marketing strategies to support dealers and customers. He also focuses on product development, including expanding the Parts Inc. aftermarket parts offering.
Tarte has nearly 30 years of vehicle parts/components sales, marketing, operations and management experience. He is based at the Parts Central location in Fort Payne, Ala.
City Carton Recycling Appoints Quad Cities Facility ManagerMike Sage has been promoted to facility manager for City Carton Recycling’s Quad Cities facility in Davenport, Iowa.
Sage oversees all operations of the Quad Cities recycling facility. He is responsible for implementing products and services marketing plans for the plant, with goals to maximize customer service, vendor relations, sales and profits. Sage is also responsible for plant building needs, equipment needs and personnel. He reports to City Carton Recycling’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing Brian Holtz, Eldridge, Iowa.
Sage has more than 35 years of experience in management and supervision. He joined City Carton Recycling in October 2004 as the Quad Cities facility assistant manager.
Prior to joining City Carton Recycling, he worked as plant manager for FCA Manufacturing Co. in Lafayette, Ind.; plant superintendent and department supervisor for Kewanee Boiler Manufacturing Co. in Kewanee, Ill.; and supervisor, quality control inspector and machine operator for Sterling Multi Products in Prophetstown, Ill.
City Carton Recycling, based in Iowa City, Iowa, provides recovery programs for cardboard, office paper, plastic, tin, aluminum, newspaper, magazines and books for municipal, commercial and industrial customers throughout Iowa and the Midwest.
