River Metals Recycling LLC, headquartered in Fort Mitchell, Ky., has appointed James Becker as president.
Becker succeeds Alan Crouch, who becomes vice president of operations for The David J. Joseph Co. Crouch assumes responsibilities for engineering, equipment management and assists in DJJ’s continuing growth process.
River Metals is a wholly owned venture of The David J. Joseph Co. The company has processing facilities at seven locations in the Kentucky cities of Henderson, Livermore, Louisville, Newport, Owensboro, Paducah and Somerset and a facility in Metropolis, Ill. Becker has been with DJJ for two decades, starting as a buyer at a DJJ yard. Since then, Becker has been a brokerage representative, district manager and, most recently, vice president of trading.
Eco2 Plastics Announces AppointmentsECO2 Plastics Inc., formerly ITEC Environmental Group, has appointed Roy Herberger to its board of directors.
"Roy’s experience in marketing, management and corporate strategy, combined with his international business expertise, will help ECO2 grow from an early stage recycling company to an industry leader," Rod Rougelot, CEO of ECO2, says.
In other personnel news, ECO2 has hired Randall Reed to serve as vice president of engineering.
ECO2 Plastics is involved in PET plastic recycling. The company operates a recycling plant in Riverbank, Calif., and another plant is currently under development in Southern California.
Sadoff & Rudoy Appoints New PresidentSadoff & Rudoy Industries LLP (SRI) has promoted Mark Lasky to president. Lasky becomes the firm’s third-generation of leadership, following his father Sheldon and grandfather Edward Rudoy.
Under a transition plan developed in 2004 Lasky, who previously served as president of Block Iron and Supply Co. (a former subsidiary of SRI), was scheduled to replace his father as president in 2007 following three years of training. Lasky will be responsible for implementing strategic plans and day-to-day management of all operating and trading departments. He has been with the company for eight years.
Additionally, Jason Lasky, Mark’s brother, has been promoted to vice president of infrastructure and his brother Bradford Lasky has been promoted to vice president of new business development.
Sadoff & Rudoy Industries, founded by Edward Rudoy in 1947, is a ferrous and nonferrous scrap recycler headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wis.
Gibson Machinery Announces Appointments Gibson Machinery LLC, Cleveland, has announced the appointment of two sales and applications specialists.John Fleming has joined Gibson Machinery as manager of business development, western Pennsylvania. Fleming focuses on the development of customer relationships within the western Pennsylvania region, specifically with the Sennebogen product offering. He also actively pursues rentals and sales of specialty material handling and demolition packages as well as other rental items from Gibson’s equipment offering. He brings more than 30 years of equipment distributorship and customer support experience while serving the construction market.
In addition, Michael Moore has rejoined the company as a territory manager covering the Ohio counties of Medina, Summit, Wayne, Stark, Holmes, Tuscarawas, Carroll, Coshocton and Harrison. Previously with Gibson from 1998 to 2000, Moore has spent the last six years on the wholesale side of the business with Genesis Shears and Processors and most recently with Jewell Specialty Demolition packages. Moore brings back to Gibson Machinery significant experience in materials processing, specialized demolition and construction markets.
