US Shredder and Castings Group Adds Regional Sales Manager
The US Shredder and Castings Group, based in Brookhaven, Miss., has added Dave Cross as southern regional sales manager.
Based in Wesson, Miss., Cross handles the company’s sales and service activities in the southern and southeastern United States. A scrap industry veteran, he has served in similar roles at Metso Lindemann and, most recently, at Metso Texas Shredder.
"Dave is a welcomed addition to our sales force," US Shredder and Castings Group President Bill Tigner says. "He brings years of experience with him to US Shredder. As with all of our regional managers, Dave worked with me at a previous organization and knows the basics for our phenomenal growth is through exceptional customer service."
Cross joins the company’s other regional sales managers Barry Sheppard (eastern United States and Canada) and Rick Cartee (Midwest and central Canada).
The US Shredder and Castings Group offers complete scrap shredding systems as well castings, service and consulting to the North and Central American scrap industry.
MARATHON APPOINTS REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
Marathon Equipment Co., Vernon, Ala., has announced that Gary Braswell has accepted the position of regional sales manager with the company.
Braswell is responsible for field support, which includes recommending equipment, product training and technical support for the Marathon Ramjet line of compactors and vertical balers in a territory that consists of South Carolina, northern Georgia, eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina.
"We are pleased to have Gary on board," Marathon Equipment Southeast District Sales Manager Jim Wamble says. "His extensive knowledge of the waste industry, coupled with his in-depth understanding of equipment applications, gives us a dynamic presence in a growth market."
Braswell has managed sales for more than 15 years, seven of which were involved selling self-contained and stationary compactors to the solid waste and recycling markets.

VECOPLAN APPOINTS TWO TO STAFF
Vecoplan LLC, a manufacturer of single-shaft rotary grinders based in High Point, N.C., has appointed Kim James to the post of marketing communications director and Everette Edwards to the position of Midwest sales manager in the company’s waste division.
James oversees marketing for Vecoplan’s complete product line throughout North, Central and South America.
Prior to joining the Vecoplan staff, James owned and operated The James Group, a business-to-business advertising agency that specialized in industrial marketing.
"We’ve worked with Kim for the last 10 years," Len Beusse, COO of Vecoplan, says. "During that time, we’ve experienced phenomenal growth in sales, personnel and capabilities. It was time to bring the advertising and promotions in house, and Kim was the obvious choice."
Edwards is responsible for selling Vecoplan equipment to the municipal, industrial and post-consumer waste markets, including the printing and document destruction industries. He brings more than 25 years of industrial sales experience to his position.
