IMCO RECYCLING INC.
IMCO Recycling Inc., Irving, Texas, has announced that Edward C. Wingenbach has been promoted to vice president in its specialty alloys operations with responsibility for all sales activities.
Wingenbach, who has extensive experience in the metals industry, joined IMCO Specialty Alloys in 2001 as director of business development and became director of alloy sales in 2002.
He has previously held executive positions with Wabash Alloys, including director of business development and vice president, sales and marketing. He has also worked in sales capacities with Aluminum Smelting & Refining, Reynolds Metals and Armco Steel.
IMCO Recycling Inc. bills itself as the world’s largest recycler of aluminum and zinc. The company has 21 U.S. production plants as well as being owners or joint venture partners in operations in Brazil, Germany, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
GUNN PHILLIPS SALES & CONSULTING
Long-time recycling equipment sales professional Gunn Phillips has announced the formation of his new business, Gunn Phillips Sales & Consulting Inc., Dade City, Fla. The new business will offer new and used scrap processing and recycling machinery as well as consulting services.
Phillips retired from his position with Metso Minerals (formerly Svedala Recycling Equipment) in late 2002.
He had been with the organization 18 years, helping develop its North American business. Prior to his tenure with Metso, Phillips spent 20 years with Harris Press & Shear, reaching the position of vice president.
Phillips has more than 40 years of experience in the scrap industry, in equipment sales and installation and owning and operating his own scrap processing business.
WITTKE INC. AND LEACH CO.
Leach Co., an Oshkosh, Wis.-based maker of rear loader refuse bodies, has promoted Bruce Yakley to vice president and general manager. Leach is part of Federal Signal Corp., Oak Brook, Ill., operating under Federal Signal’s Environmental Products Group (EPG).
Yakley is responsible for leading Leach’s technical and production resources, driving continuous improvement, and controlling product cost while ensuring optimum quality. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 30 years of experience in engineering and operations management.
Also at Federal Signal, John Foord has been named VP/general manager of Wittke, Inc., a refuse collection body maker based in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. Wittke is also part of Federal Signal’s Environmental Products Group.
Foord’s new responsibilities include overseeing the smooth integration of Wittke products and services into the EPG product line. He also leads the continued implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives at Wittke.
