HARRIS WASTE MANAGEMENT GROUP INC.
Douglas Sebastian has been named vice president of ferrous sales and marketing by Harris Waste Management Group Inc., Peachtree City, Ga.
Sebastian was previously vice president of parts and project services for Harris, but now assumes some of the duties of former Harris Vice President of Marketing Scott Williams, who left Harris to work for an Alabama-based manufacturer.
Sebastian has an extensive background in the recycling/solid waste recycling field with almost 20 years of experience. Previously, he held executive positions with Tomra North America, Alcoa Recycling and Metal Management Inc., as well as an earlier tenure with Harris Press & Shear as VP-ferrous sales.
In his new position, Sebastian will be responsible for developing and leading the global sales and marketing efforts for the Harris Press & Shear and Harris Shredder lines of scrap processing equipment.
Also at Harris, Coleen Helland has been promoted to senior marketing coordinator. Helland was previously marketing coordinator – trade and fulfillment. She holds the CTSM (Certified Trade Show Marketer) designation and is active in the Trade Show Exhibitor Association.
Helland has been with Harris since 1995. In her position as senior marketing coordinator, Helland will be accountable for managing Harris’ media contacts, will have oversight of Harris’ media and trade contracts and will be responsible for directing all trade show activities.
AROW NAMES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Troy Gansluckner has agreed to be the new executive director for the Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW).
Gansluckner served as St. Croix County’s Recycling Coordinator in the early 1990s and was most recently head of the Pierce County Solid Waste Department. He also recently started WasteWise Environmental Inc., a consulting company.
SOUTHERN WASTE PAPER CO.
Rebecca Dean has joined Southern Waste Paper Co., Chesterfield, Mo., as vice president-director of marketing.
Dean, who formerly worked for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch newspaper, will work from Southern Waste Paper’s Webster Groves, Mo., office.
Southern Waste Paper Co. specializes in cardboard, office paper and plastics recycling.
