Tim Warren, former manager of environmental programs for Allied Signal Automotive Aftermarket, Paw-tucket, R.I., has joined the National Association for Plastic Container Recovery, Charlotte, N.C., as central regional director. Warren will help develop and expand PET recycling programs in the central United States and will be based in St. Louis.
BFI
Bruce Ranck has been elected as CEO of Browning-Ferris Industries, Houston, by the company’s board of directors. He will replace William Ruckelshaus, who will retain his position as chairman of the board and member of the executive committee. Ranck was the company’s former president and COO.
YAFFE IRON & METAL
Donna Yaffe has been elected vice president and corporate secretary, and Sharla McAfee was elected vice president and controller of Yaffe Iron & Metal, Muskogee, Okla., at a recent meeting of the company’s board of directors. Yaffe Iron & Metal is a scrap metal dealer and steel distributor with operations in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
LINDEMANN RECYCLING
Jeff Zack has joined Lindemann Recycling Equipment, Charlotte, N.C., as the company’s Midwest regional manager. He will be located in Cleveland, and will be responsible for accounts in Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania.
FLORIDA STEEL CORP.
J. Neal McCullohs has been appointed vice president of sales for the Steel Mill Group of Florida Steel Corp., Tampa, Fla. McCullohs has been with Florida Steel for 17 years. The company has five electric steel mills and 16 other facilities.
GBB
Ray Ehrlich has joined GBB Solid Waste Management Consultants, Falls Church, Va., as a project manager. Prior to joining GBB, Ehrlich was a recycling program coordinator for Howard County, Md. He also worked as a recycling specialist for Browning-Ferris Industries Inc., Houston.
HI-RISE RECYCLING
Hi-Rise Recycling Systems Inc., North Miami Beach, Fla., named Jeff Daniels as the company’s new president. Daniels previously was a vice president at Marathon Equipment, Vernon, Ala.
Also joining Hi-Rise’s sales management team are Tom Witter, national sales manager; Lewis Cleveland, general manager of the company-owned Miami distributorship; and Tim Flaherty, central United States regional sales manager.
Delores Berlek and Debra Cleveland have joined the company as telemarketers.
