Don Holliday has been chosen by Van Dyk Baler Corp., Stamford, Conn., to head the new Canadian sales office being established by the company in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, near Toronto. Van Dyk, which has U.S. offices in Chicago and Los Angeles as well as Stamford, is the exclusive North American manufacturer’s representative for the Dutch firm Bollegraaf, makers of balers and sorting equipment.
THE ALUMINUM ASSOCIATION
J. Stephen Larkin has been named president of the Aluminum Association. Previously, Larkin served as president of the Valve Manufacturers Association of America in Washington, D.C.
“Steve Larkin is a respected and energetic leader with broad experience in trade association management, industry and government,” says Richard Evans, president of Alcan Aluminum Corp. and chairman of The Aluminum Association.
Larkin succeeds David Parker, who is now president of the American Gas Association.
The Aluminum Association, based in Washington, D.C., represents primary producers of aluminum and producers of semi-fabricated products.
GALT ALLOYS INC.
Galt Alloys Inc. has added Nickolaus J. Fath as plant manager of the Scrap Processing Division and also announced the promotion of Lisa A. Thomas to sales manager.
Fath will supervise the buying and selling of scrap titanium alloys and specialty metals, and direct shipping and receiving, sorting, processing and inventory and quality control activities.
Thomas will handle field sales accounts in a five-state area and monitor company-wide sales projections, orders and budgets.
