Lynn Wiggins has been appointed operations manager for the North Texas Region by Commercial Metals Co. (CMC), Dallas. Wiggins was formerly branch manager of American Iron & Metal Co. in Dallas. His duties include the coordination of repairs and maintenance, safety and environmental programs as well as production.
John Holland, formerly manager of a CMC scrap facility in Fort Worth, Texas, will replace Wiggins as branch manager at American Iron & Metal. Glen Crimmings was named the new branch manager at the Fort Worth facility.
CMC Secondary Metals Processing Division president Harry J. Heinkele also announced the promotion of Larry Olschwanger to vice president of national accounts. Five individuals were also named vice presidents in the Secondary Metals Processing Division: Rocky Adams, South Texas Region; Chuck Grossman, Southeast U.S. Region; Larry Nance, West Texas Region; Alan Postel, North Texas Region; and Jim Vermillion, Central U.S. Region.
TEREX LIFTING
Jerry Loughren has been appointed general manager of American Crane Corp., Wilmington, N.C., which is an operating unit of Terex Lifting and Terex Corp. Loughren will head up all facets of American Crane operations, including product development, manufacturing, sales and support. He was previously vice president, sales.
PIONEER MACHINERY
Leigh Anne Conrad has been named marketing services coordinator at Pioneer Machinery Inc., Lexington, S.C. Conrad has ten years experience developing and managing promotional programs and co-op advertising programs as well as planning and coordinating special events and trade show displays.
Also at Pioneer Machinery, Jack W. Davidson has been appointed as branch manager of the company’s Atlanta operations. Davidson was previously regional territory manager at the Atlanta branch.
MIDREX ENTERPRISES INC.
Kenneth D. Matthews has retired as president of EMC International Inc. (EMCI), a division of Midrex Enterprises Inc., Charlotte, N.C. EMCI is a supplier of electric arc furnaces, ladle furnaces, and other systems and equipment to the steel industry.
Taking over as Matthews’ successor is James C. Simmons, who was formerly vice president of sales for EMCI. Simmons has 30 years of steel industry experience ranging from fur-nace operation to senior management.
