Making Noise in San Francisco

If you weren’t able to attend this year’s event, you can still take part in the exceptional learning opportunities and industry discussions led by keynote speakers and thought leaders.

ARMA International’s 55th Annual Conference & Expo in San Francisco wrapped up Nov. 10. Attendees were abuzz from the exceptional networking and the premier education sessions and cutting-edge technology solutions on the expo floor.

If you weren’t able to attend this year’s event, you can still take part in the exceptional learning opportunities and industry discussions led by keynote speakers and thought leaders. Some of the most popular conference education sessions were recorded and are now being offered as Web seminars on www.arma.org. A list of Web seminar titles can be found at www.arma.org/conference.

While the Web seminars are available for anyone to purchase, ARMA International member discounts can be used to gain access to these education programs, which provide the most concentrated and relevant learning opportunity in the world of records and information management and cover such areas as SharePoint, e-discovery, metadata and taxonomies and electronic record-keeping systems, to mention only a few.

The 2010 Conference & Expo podcast, available at www.arma.org/podcast, is designed to bring the expo floor to you. Vendors share the latest tools, services and resources to take your organization to the next level and provide the answers to your current information management challenges.

Don’t be left out on the latest happenings by joining the year-round virtual conference, iConference, at http://iconference.arma.org, a tool for shaping conversation on best practices and industry issues in between conferences. Individual groups within iConference discuss topics such as e-discovery, electronically stored information and compliance. Much of the dialogue occurring in these groups is a continuance of the on-site roundtable discussions that were held on the expo floor at this year’s conference. Industry-specific groups find common ground and take part in serious, in-depth discussions and problem solving.

Don’t miss out on these opportunities next year. With views of the Potomac River, Old Town Alexandria and Washington, D.C., you will want to make plans to attend ARMA International’s 56th Annual Conference & Expo Oct. 16-20, 2011, at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center, National Harbor, Md. The historical and cultural attractions will make your stay even more memorable. More information on the 2011 Conference & Expo will be available on our website in the spring of 2011.
