The innovation that typifies NEXGEN is inherent in the company’s impressive line of TIEger Auto-Tie Balers.
The engineering team at NEXGEN has created one of the most exciting new baler technologies in decades with the TIEger Tieing System, found on all TIEger Series models.
This gear-driven system eliminates twister hooks and pigtails, resulting in a reduction in wire consumption by 8 to 11 percent. Maintenance costs to replace broken twister hooks are also eliminated.
"Wire costs more over the life of the baler than the baler itself, so it is genuinely significant that we have attacked that cost," says Szany.
The TIEger Series also utilizes state-of-the-art electronics such as Allen-Bradley’s MicroLogix 1500 PLC and a full-color Maestro touch-screen interface. This intuitive touchscreen allows operators to control a variety of baler functions, including choosing between automatic and manual modes, system pressures, bale length and other settings.
The TIEger series balers have found particular favor among high-production operations that can bale at a lower cost and without the need for a full-time operator.
Those who require manual-tie balers can still benefit from NEXGEN engineering expertise. The company’s patented line of Side-Eject horizontal balers are designed so bales can be removed quickly and efficiently.
Other manual-tie models include:
•
NEXGEN Closed-End Balers, which can produce larger bales and handle a variety of material•
The Gemini Series, ideal for recyclers handling multiple materials•
Atlas models, extra-sturdy and ideal for nonferrous metals•
The Stealth baler, economical and ideal for cardboard recycling•
The Foam Baler, with a special chamber designed to accommodate foam spring-back.Explore the February 2006 Issue
