Dennis Crosby at GSI Recycling, Inc.has to say…Dennis Crosby with GSI Recycling, Inc. in Pensacola, Fla., purchased a Galaxy2R 310W two-ram baler in January of 2005. GSI typically bales 15,000 to 30,000 lbs. of nonferrous material per day. When asked why Dennis chose NEXGEN over the competition he said, "The Galaxy2R baler has many features that we value. The full penetration ram provides us with the densest bales compared to any other baler of its kind. The throughput of the machine is fantastic. We also like that the baler can be diagnosed over a phone line using a modem. We find the Galaxy2R to be the best priced machine with the convenient options we need."
GSI also purchased a steel-belt EZ-TRAX conveyor system to feed their Galaxy2R baler. "This machine has significantly changed the way we handle our Non-Ferrous Division. The luxury of having trailer loads of material processed so quickly has allowed us to open our doors to a larger buying market. The service department at NEXGEN is very helpful. If we encounter any issues, the technicians at NEXGEN step up to provide solutions to keep our operation running smoothly."
Check out what Bryan Comer at Douglas Waste Paper has to say...
Bryan Comer with Douglas Waste Paper in Mantachie, Miss., purchased a TIEger Series PC auto-tie baler this year. Douglas Waste Paper typically bales 200 to 300 tons of cardboard per month. When asked why he chose NEXGEN over the competition, Bryan said, "The TIEger Series baler is reasonably priced and produces bales that are denser than other open-end auto ties. In fact, Douglas Waste Paper is spending less money on diesel fuel by making fewer trips to the paper mill." He also said they have experienced significant wire savings due to the gear driven TIEger tieing system. "Our NEXGEN TIEger baler has proved to be a real money saver." n
When asked what he thought about NEXGEN’s service, Bryan said, " NEXGEN installers spent three days setting up our machine and made sure everything ran smoothly. NEXGEN technicians also trained our staff and ensured that everyone knew how to safely operate the baler. I feel confident in knowing that NEXGEN will be there to help us in any situation."

Jason Allen, President/Owner of Standard Iron & Metals in Oakland, Calif., owns not one but two Galaxy2R-450N two-ram balers. Jason purchased his first baler in 1996 and his second in 2004. According to Jason, three primary factors impacted his decision to stay with NEXGEN: the heavy-duty and dependable balers they make, the outstanding service, and the overall value for the investment.
Jason is very pleased with the innovative features of the Galaxy2R balers, including the touchscreen display, laser ram positioning system, and the manifold system‘s flexible hoses. The full penetration ram provides denser bales with average bale weights of 6,813 pounds for #1 copper, 3,795 pounds for stainless steel, and 4,145 pounds for mixed insulated copper wire. Overall, the speed and increased productivity of the Galaxy2R is especially beneficial to Jason’s business.

Check out what David Stein at Brothers Recycling Co. Inc. has to say...
David Stein, vice president with Brothers Recycling Co. Inc., Birmingham, Ala., and his co-workers had an extra reason to be thankful during Thanksgiving week of 2005. The central Alabama metals recycler installed its new NEXGEN two-ram baling system that week, and David has been thankful for the improvement in operations that has occurred as a result.
David says his Galaxy2R 310W from NEXGEN has produced "all smiles" among the employees of Brothers Recycling. The baler has been easily handling the 1 million pounds per month of nonferrous metals processed by the company, including used beverage cans, painted aluminum, extrusions and MLC (mixed low copper) aluminum scrap.
The NEXGEN Galaxy2R model came in tandem with an EZ-TRAX N-Pan conveyor, which David praises as "awesome." He says the company’s clean-up chores have been greatly reduced, noting, "All of our metal makes it to the baler—there is no leakage or spillover falling off or through the belt."
Check out what Tom Yanko at Associated Paper Stock Inc. has to say...
A new NEXGEN Galaxy2R 310W two-ram baler is helping Associated Paper Stock Inc. (APS) of North Lima, Ohio, produce an average of 80 bales per day of old corrugated containers (OCC). APS President Tom Yanko says that in just the first few months of operation, it has been clear to see that the Galaxy2R has increased the company’s rate of production and reduced its operating costs.
APS’s good experience started with the installation. "The fact that our people, the folks from Ely Enterprises and NEXGEN were able to work together to come in on a Thursday afternoon, keep running our old unit on Friday, and have us up and running on the new machine by Monday is outstanding," says Tom.
The NEXGEN Galaxy2R at APS replaces a 17-year-old model, and Tom notes that the technological advances are staggering. "It’s much easier to operate and doesn’t even have the need for a full-time operator. Our power bill has gone down by anywhere from $350 to $500 per month and we’ve recorded a 15 to 20 percent decrease in wire usage." n
To sum it up, Tom says, "The service and training have been excellent, and it is a pleasure to bale faster and not to have an operator present to make it happen."
