MAC Corp. Hydragrind 260
The new horizontal-feed HydraGrind 260 from Mac Corp. is designed to provide fast, safe and efficient reducing of asphalt, brick, block, C&D wood debris, and other types of waste wood. The model is powered by a 260 hp engine and offers a 110-inch x 49-inch x 43-inch deep hopper. The unit can be can be towed behind a one-ton pickup truck, making it a mobile means of wood and debris processing.
Komatsu WA 120-3 Wheel Loader
Komatsu America International has introduced the WA120-3 Avance wheel loader. The 100 hp unit is designed for small and mid-sized material handling applications. The new model’s features include an electrically shifted four-speed transmission, a fully enclosed parking brake system, an engine designed to meet emissions requirements, Komatsu’s "human-first" ergonomic cab design, and easy maintenance and service capabilities.
Caterpillar Hydraulic Hammers
Caterpillar Inc.’s new subsidiary, Caterpillar Impact Products Ltd., is offering 23 models of hydraulic hammers. The models range in diameter from 45 mm (1.77 inches) to 195 mm (7.68 inches). Several of the larger-size models are being marketed to the demolition industry.
Hilger Analytical Attest 2
The Attest 2 is being billed by Hilger Analytical as a low-cost portable spectrometer for metals analysis. The optical emission spectrometer offers chemical analysis results as well as grade identification and alloy verification abilities. A lightweight pistol is aimed at the material being analyzed while the spectrometer is set in one of several modes, including Grade Identification, Alloy Verification, and Positive Material Identification modes.
Linde-Baker Product Guide
An eight-page fold-out product guide from Linde-Baker Material Handling Co. offers details of the company’s range of material handling equipment. Included in the guide are model capacities and voltage requirements for electric counterbalanced trucks; reach and turret trucks; pallet, tugger and platform trucks; and LP pneumatic tire and diesel pneumatic tire trucks. The Porsche-designed Class V trucks from Linde are available in capacities ranging from 3,000 pounds to 35,000 pounds.
Geith Inc.
Excavator GrapplesGeith Inc. now has three different styles of grapples to be used with hydraulic excavators. The Geith HDG has been designed for use in scrap handling, demolition and land clearing applications, while the MDG can also be used for scrap handling, land clearing and light demolition purposes. The LDG model is primarily for handling loose materials, waste and refuse. Each of the grapple models can be equipped with Geith’s Pin Lock Quick Hitch system or can be built to suit most other coupler systems.
En-Core Tire Baler
En-Core Systems has introduced its vertical downstroke portable baler designed primarily for the rubber and tire recycling industry. The low-cost baler compresses passenger car and light truck tires into a block measuring 30 inches x 50 inches x 60 inches. The weight of the completed block, which offers a five to one volume reduction ratio, is approximately one ton. The uniform bales can be easily handled and stored, according to the company.
Walker Magnetics Brochure
A new brochure available from Walker Magnetics offers a description of separation equipment made by the firm. Among the products featured are suspended electromagnets and permanent magnets for ferrous metal separation and a line of pulleys and drums.
John Deere H-Series
John Deere Construction Equipment Co. has added to its H-Series line of equipment. The company has introduced the 644H four-wheel-drive loader and the 644H MH Material Handler. The 644H replaces the 644G model and offers a faster cycle time and an increased tipping load than its predecessor. Both new models are powered by a 180 hp Powertech 8.1 liter engine, which features an auxiliary drive that drives a hydraulic cooling fan for the engine and transmission. The new models feature a 9% increase in operating weight from the predecessors to 38,300 pounds. The 644H offers a 17% increase in tipping load, up to 30,845 pounds.
